It’s a good cafe in San Mateo. Their beverage and foods are nice. Also, the WiFi is okay (not so high speed, but stable). The staff members are okay, and a rest room is clean and nice. If you want to study or work in San Mateo downtown, it’s a good place. I recommend that place. When I went to there, I ordered a green tea and coffee cake. They’re both nice.

Nice little breakfast place close to Draper University- charming displays of baked goods and unassuming large selection of hot breakfast items. Outside sidewalk seating available, free WiFi, and the coffee packs a kick.

The breakfast croissant was really good. The chai with soy milk also good. Buckwheat crepe was ok. Kinda busy around 8am. Nice to grab breakfast, probably would go back for easy casual and can hang out and chat a bit place.

To make social distancing more bearable, the crew of Kaffeehaus has built a gorgeous deck right outside the curb. It is unfortunate that it took a pandemic for San Mateo to finally embrace the European terrace lifestyle. I am grateful that Kaffeehaus is leading the way in style.

Not sure what happened through the pandemic but it’s very different now. Still nice people working and a nice outdoor patio but the menu is very limited and you can’t get pastries or coffee anymore. No coffee at kaffeehaus. Riddle me that.

They also have other really good coffee + pastry !
This coffee shop has great European vibe and a good place to have meeting/ interview/ study/ hang out with friends and enjoy the live Jazz show at night of the weekend!
There is one thing more to mention: the barista knows how to make good coffee and very lovely and friendly to customers, they will even remember your favorite coffee and pastries. Always feel good coming here !

Good place for a quick bite, working, meeting up with someone or a glass of wine, but really terrible coffee and those who work there don't seem to know how to make it properly

Best croissants around + a good variety of treats and lunch options. Spacious seating and late night alcohol. This is my favorite coffee shop in San Mateo.
If you're planning to sit down, the French Press coffee is top notch. Loose tea for those who don't need the coffee. The breakfast croissants are wonderful and rich.
