Probably the best place to watch a sporting event in San Jose. We were watching Giants opening day baseball. The bar service was great. Very nice staff. Clean Resturant. And very clean bathrooms. They have a great outdoor paitio and Vip room for private parties. Much better than Gordon Biersch.

Nice outdoor seating area setup, plenty of parking around the area. Very friendly staff and owner. Took a bit of time to get my order but worth the wait. Grabbed the Gobble Up burger with tater tots. Burger infused and mixed with apricots and spices made it a delicious, juicy bite. Cooked well-done. Tater tots were nice and crisp, tightly packed to the brim in the box.
Their burger was very good, it came with 3 onion rings, bbq sauce, bacon, cheese, lettuce & tomato, they placed the lettuce & tomatoes in a separate container, to put on myself, their chips ( fries) were salted just enough, had previously given 4 ⭐'s that rating has jumped to a full 5 ⭐review, now it might've become lower, had Rookie's been like how most places are when error made, some may say it's U'r fault 4 not checking b4 U left, on my last trip there a few days ago, an item was forgotten off my order, as I'd no way 2 get back that X 2 have it fixed, I messaged & they not only apologized 4 getting order incorrect, but promised that next X I came in the Burger would be on the house, not only did they honour their word in that, but went above and comped me a Coke whilst awaiting order & another one to go with my burger, so shout out 2 Rookies, they done good, thanx guys
Picked this place since there was a long wait in 'original gravity' across the road. This place was not crowded but looked like a good sports bar. Had couple of beers and their traditional wings was really good( less quantity though). Overall a good sports bar to hangout.
Rookies, previously Billie Burks, is a bit of a step up. They have an excellent tomahawk steak! Was surprised to see this at a sports bar. Staff was super nice and helpful and screens were easy to view. Had a real good time here and food was darn good
No complains, went into watch college football championships LSU vs Clemson, place was packed, tons! of tv, nice upbeat environment.

If you want to enjoy some decent bar food and as much cold beer as you can handle while watching the game, Rookies is the place for you. They serve traditional bar/pub foods which are decent. Lots of selection but really what you come here for is the atmosphere. Hang out with buddies and tip back a few cold ones and enjoy the game!
Not a fan of sports or sportsbars, but the selection of beers was only beaten by the excellent service at the bar ❤️

Friendly waitresses and decent food. Good selection of beers on tap. Star is a great server.
Came here as a last resort after a concert. Good food, good service, and fair prices.
