Tried this restaurant for the first time for Valentine's day and regretted the whole experience. It was bad from start to finish. They offered a special set menu for Valentine's which sounded like a good idea but I think it just confused our server. The menu states we each get a wine, a salad, sorbets, an entree and a shared dessert. In addition to the set menu we ordered pork tacos and a strawberry mojito. I'm just going to list what went wrong to save time.
- only one of us received wine, my cocktail took almost 40 minutes to arrive (which the server eventually comped)
-the cocktail was watered down, didn't taste any alcohol (and I'm a light weight)
-when we asked for the other wine he said I never asked for it but I definitely did because it's part of the set menu
-then our starter salads which also came 30 minutes apart, I was finished with mine well before my partner got his salad and only after we mentioned it to the server, shortly after his salad came our main courses arrived
-we both ordered the chimichurri rib eye, was never asked how we liked the meat to be cooked, flagged down the waiter to let him know I like mine medium and my partner liked his medium rare. When the rib eyes arrived I asked the food runner which one was medium and which one was medium rare, he replied "I don't know" and left. Both were cooked medium rare but I didn't even bother to send mine back
-the server finally checks in on us picks up the salad plates while also taking our knives which we needed for the rib eye, he left so quick I didn't get a chance to stop him, I ended up asking another server for knives
-per the menu we should've gotten sorbets prior to our main course, so I asked the server, he said we get that later, it eventually came out with dessert
- we ordered the cheesecake for dessert but of course they brought out the chocolate trio, so once again we had to wait, definitely wasn't worth the wait, tasted like Safeway cheesecake
-then we got our sorbets one came out in a plastic cup while the other was in a smaller bowl, the one in the bowl was either half melted or had spit in it, needless to say I didn't eat it
I will definitely never return, the food was just okay but the service was probably the worst I've had in a while. I will say our server was never rude but he seemed like he didn't know what he was doing.

I came here for dinner with a girlfriend, and we both enjoyed everything! We ordered the roasted vegetables, grilled octopus, and wagyu. Our favorite was the octopus because it was seasoned well and cooked perfectly- we both agreed it was the best octopus we had ever had. The vegetables were also amazing- I would definitely order this dish again the next time I eat here. The wagyu was a bit disappointing, however. We suspected they were scrap end pieces they cut off while preparing wagyu steaks. Probably wouldn't order this again, although cooking the meat on hot stones was sort of fun.

I was shocked how good was every little thing on the plat. My favorite Hawaiian spot in the city

The restaurant was quiet on a Friday night, we only saw another 2-3 tables through out the night. The food was inventive, fresh ingredients and delicious! Limited vegetarian options, though the chef managed to swap out some of the proteins for tofu to cater for Vegetarians. The cocktails were delicious and inventive! We were celebrating a birthday, and the restaurant came out with candles on a cake and took all desserts off the final check!

The service was outstanding (Rafael was great) and the food was too. Fresh and a unique twist on some Hawaiian classics. Presentation very unique as well. Try the Poke and the grilled Hamachi. Best part was the banana bread pudding and coffee at the end. I highly recommend.

We went because of the great reviews and food photos; however, when we ordered the food it came out not as expected. the “prosciutto &egg croissant” had very sparing amounts of prosciutto and brie, and was not presented well. The croissant was dry and stale and does not have the nuttery layers that croissants shold have. The avocado and egg baguette had very thin spread of avocado that didnt have much taste.

It was a dining experience that deserved 5 star accolades in every category. From food to service to the wine list, this NEW restaurant delivers in every category. The Chef stopped by the table and shared his fusionology!! He was a pleasure to meet. The tabled loved it. It was a culinary treat.

The ahi tuna poke tostada were fantastic. The bartender I had was really really nice.
