Cafe Europa is absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was delicious and made with obvious care and pride. The Napoleon cake was the best cake I’ve had in years. The homemade kvas was exceptional. Also, the owner is incredibly friendly! Do yourself a favor and go.

One of those neighborhood finds especially on a cold day! Started with the mushroom soup then Beef stroganoff, pork goulash and stuffed cabbage all great choices!
Dessert was so good!

We had the goulash, stroganoff and schnitzel and it was all delicious and generous portions. Classic comfort food.
Oh and the napoleon cake WOW.
The owner (?) was hilarious and added to the charm.
10/10 will definitely return.

Cozy restaurant with delicious food! The cabbage and mushroom pierogis were absolutely scrumptious. Server was very friendly and service wast fast. Great date night spot or place to get a tasty boot of beer.

I visited Café Europa on my last three vacations in San Francisco (I live in Lima). We go from Hayward to enjoy their wonderful cuisine.

This is my favorite place to eat in the entire Bay Area. Every time I’m in the city I come here. It doesn’t matter how far out of the way I have to go, I always make it. The server is so friendly and he always has the perfect recommendations. The atmosphere of the restaurant makes you feel at home. Laid-back café with fantastic food. Staff is friendly and attentive. I had the borscht and beef pierogies and both exceeded my expectations.

Super nice service and good food. Nice vibes with the chill music too. My favorites were the potato pancakes (with both sour cream and mushroom sauce) and the cream of mushroom soup. But everything else we got was quite good as well.

A quaint restaurant for simple and straightforward central European dishes. There are eastern European dishes included, but the floor manager mentioned that it's primarily central.
The meals are hearty and delicious. There's minimal fluff, just local ingredients prepared in the old ways. This is one of the few spots in the Bay that I've found that serves veal schnitzel, so I highly recommend trying that while here.
Next time I'm around, I'll definitely make it a point to try their cabbage rolls.
