We went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There is outdoor dining. We ordered Saganaki which was great (5/5), a chicken gyro (4/5) and an impossible burger (3/5). There are very few options for vegetarians.
A fancy twist on a traditional greek menu, the food is amazing especially the halibut, it was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Also had the prawn n the chicken lemon soup, both were tasty.
This place has it all! Wonderful wait staff, amazing food, and a great ambience.
We started off with the grilled octopus and it was incredibly tender and not chewy at all. For our entrees, we got the branzino and the grilled salmon, both of which were cooked to perfection. We finished off the meal with galaktobourekos and it was great.
The wait staff were all very friendly, starting with the host, who checked in with us regularly, even though the waiter was already doing this. Overall, the food was spot on and I'll definitely be returning here again soon to try some of their other dishes!
Good vibe and pretty good food. I give 5 stars but I still have my two cents and some tips:
Tips:
1) This place closes on Monday.
2) Give them a call even if the time slot you want doesn’t look like available as they maybe squeeze you in
Two cents:
1) Saganaki isn’t as thick as the ones I used to have in Greece
2) The moussaka was a little bit too salty, and the eggplant part was chunky, not smooth as it should be.
Some of the beat high end Greek food. I’ve had in SF. The Greek wine collection is on point and The Moussaka is incredible.
Great food, including lots of interesting menu options. We got the octopus salad, and although I wouldn't usually order octopus, I liked it. Service was mostly good, but there was an oddly long wait for the check.
12 mins from downtown, great place to take customers. No joke, the best Greek food I've ever had (including three times I spent in Greece). Higher end restaurant, but still very affordable. My customer called it her foodie meal of her entire trip.
We didn't order any main dishes except one flat bread, but had 6 appetizers and could not finish anything.
There was a table of 30 people, giant Greek family, but we could still hear each other and enjoy our own conversation. The high ceilings allowed for great sound dissipation.
The octopus and lamb were out of this world good, I mean, finger licking good! Same with all the dishes, but those two were our favorite.
The drive out from downtown San Francisco took 12 mins and was a beautiful drive looking down on the city.
Food was pretty good. Smaller portions than I'm used to. GF's and I agreed food was a wee bit expensive.
Loved the atmosphere. The food was fantastic and the decor was great. Definitely would come back again to try more of the food
Great food! Lamb shank and lamb chops were very tasty. Wife got the Flatbread with sausage, mushrooms and arugula which she enjoyed. The grilled octopus was also great which my daughter loved. My wife said that she would definitely go back. I agree.
