I wish there was a place like this closer to home. They have a well curated wine by the glass list of 30+ international wines. They definitely deliver on the food offerings. The arugula salad was fresh and well dressed, the tuna tartar also very fresh and flavorful. The risotto had the right amount of sautéed greens to balance the sausage. The waiter was attentive, and observant. He seemed to appear only when needed - perfect.
Favorite wine bar in Russian Hill. Fair prices for glasses, flights and yummy small plates. I've tried the salads, charcuterie, mac and cheese, and they come out with a bread and oil as well! Its a beautiful vibe to watch the trolleys roll up and down the hill as the sky transitions between night and day.
Food was delicious, well priced and quick (on a Sat, fleet week). Strong district of higher priced competitors, it does well in the mid range, though pricing wise, it betters competitors because of the focus on good food. Slightly under-services - the staff are as attentive as numbers allow. Clientele seem mostly repeat local, a good sign. Nice, satisfying, emerging, not exceptional wines at good prices. I travel the world and rate this place well. Go and decide for yourselves.

I had a flight of red wines, the meatballs, and the spinach salad.
Skip the meatballs; they seemed microwaved and frozen.
On the other hand, the spinach salad was fresh and delicious.
Wines were good and fairly priced.
The sole bartender was stretched thin and unable to attend to a relatively busy bar.
Overall, room for improvement but would come again!

Our group wanted some simple bites and wine, Cafe Meuse fit the bill perfectly! Great wine selection and the charcuterie was pretty tasty. Great service as well!
Super cute neighborhood wine bar with yummy food as well! Love love love the vibes, very casual and classy. The wine selection is great and it's the perfect place to come for a nice small bite and glass of wine (or two) on your way home from work or as an appetizer before dinner reservations elsewhere. My partner and I shared a salad and some bread, which were both delicious and paired perfectly with the wines we chose. Great place for both locals and tourists looking for a friendly, authentic SF experience.
Strong Recommendation! Nice Wine-Selection and the Appetizer we had were all very delicious (have been here for the last 3 Evenings) - will definitely come back on our next visit to SF.
I’ve been here many times over the past 10 years or so and it’s by far the best wine bar I’ve ever been to. Great wine selections, good food and a great view of Hyde street, especially when the cable car comes by.
