Reserved in advanced. We choose the chefs tasting menu with the wine pairing. Loved every course and the paired wine. Will definitely go back again.

Great great great food. We hosted a client event here so money was flowing to meet the minimum but the food was fantastic. Beautiful plates bursting with flavor, WINE(!!!) and a friendly staff made for a wonderful evening in the exhibition kitchen.

Roasted duck is amazing. I liked everything I had. The pickle appetizer is not only cucumber pickled items which was not clear on the menu but I did enjoy the pickles pickled radish and pickled peppers. Very nice wine selection. Excellent desserts. For something light I would recommend the caramel ice cream. For something chocolatey the praline chocolate. The staff was great and the setting is wonderful.

Great tapas, good pinot, spectacular desserts, and awesome service. Will be back the next time I'm in town.

Absolutely stunning place, unpronounced from the outside and you might just miss the door, and even the interior is underspoken following the "military" style and heritage. However the food is top notch. The fried cheese balls with honey blew everyone away. Salad was fresh. And all other main dishes and appetizers were stellar.
Yes, it is a bit pricey... but definitely worth the meal for a date or a special event. And did I mention the views from Presidio?

As first-timers to The Commissary, we were thoroughly pleased. The staff was extremely attentive without being overbearing, and our waiter, Garland, provided exceptional service. The original and standard cocktails included top shelf liquors, each meticulously and generously made. Our waiter was with friendly without being overbearing, carefully explaining the various menu dishes and easily offering his personal preferences with nary a putdown of other menu items. The food was extraordinary, melding flavors into sumptuous, mouth watering bursts of flavor with each bite. From appetizers to dessert, each course was a fabulous culinary experience. Yes, it's expensive, but you get what you pay for + an intimate dining experience within a large and blessedly quiet space. Save up your pennies and splurge here!

This is a very elevated space in the gorgeous Presidio. The menu is clever and the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. Mostly Spanish influence, the menu has flashes of the new California cuisine that has been a staple for the San Francisco dining landscape. All in all, I enjoyed the meal but it won't make it on my shortlist of must-experience restaurants in the city. The service was unprofessional and distracting and the food was gorgeous and ambitious but with some basic technical failures. The ambiance and area (and subsequently available parking!) are worth a visit for drinks and a bite.

We sat at the bar in the kitchen and would do the same again. Watching the food prep was good entertainment! I had a yummy raspberry g&t. We shared a soup, a vegetarian entre and a fish entre- all excellent. Service was good and friendly.

We finally made it!! We've tried getting here forever. It was worth the effort. Loved this place. Thought the drinks were great, food phenomenal, and service excellent. My cocktails were great. I didn't catch the name of the mixologist, but he makes magic!!! I started with the "Close but no Cigar" and loved it. I followed up with the "Toki Doki" and could have passed. No fault of the mixer, just not the flavors I liked. My third round, went back to the cigar. If you like whiskey based drinks...it's a winner.
We had two starters. The Pork and Duck terrine. It was probably the best dish of the night in my opinion. If you get it you must catch all the flavors by adding the onion jam. We also got the crab fritters. They were good. Could have had a bit more seasoning. We also thought they were a little too small.
For my entree I got the pork chop. Absolutely delicious. They dip it in this olive oil, pork fat, rosemary concoction. Made all the difference in my opinion. Make sure you get a piece of the apple with each bite. My partner got the stripped bass, which he also enjoyed.
We did skip dessert. Nothing really grabbed us. This is for sure on our go to list for potential dinner spots. We have a close friend coming in from out of time and we will most likely bring him here for one of our meals.

Absolutely an amazing place to visit in the Presidio. We came for dinner and sat at the kitchen counter - it's definitely the place I would recommend to sit.
Quality of the food was awesome and the bass and snake valley strip was definitely the highlight for our group.
For the volume of food you get and quality I would say its not overly expensive.
Definitely recommend
