Piraat Pizzeria & Rotisserie

As I wandered around Union Square and surrounding streets, I suddenly had an urge to eat a slice of pizza. Luckily for me, there are a lot of places nearby. Pretty much all the places nearby had really good ratings so it was seriously just a matter of choosing the one closest to me. This restaurant has a really cozy feel to it and if I wasn't still in explorer mode I would have sat down at the bar to eat. I ordered a slice of Hawaiian to go and waited. I expected to wait a while but the server brought out my pizza in less than 15 minutes in a small take out box. I walked outside and opened up the box to see a large slice of pizza with a generous amount of cheese and Canadian bacon. I took a bite. The crust had a really nice crunch to it, no sogginess here and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious blend of bacon, pineapple and cheese. Yum!

We went here for dinner as we wanted pizza. It was amazing. If I could give it a 6 I would. The store was very quiet, clean and a beautiful atmosphere. The service was great and they were very fast to deliver our food. The prices where fairly priced and the food was great. If you are looking for a taste of Italy, then this place is the place :-) I ordered the meatballs and spaghetti and my partner ordered the pepperoni pizza. The food was absolutely delicious and was hot. The flavours tasted so fresh and it was a great treat. The service was great. The lady served us with a smile and we loved it. It’s situated on a busy noisey street but you could not hear the noise from instead. They played soothing music that just lit up the experience. Loved it. Will be back again.

We came in on a Wednesday morning to get a couple slices before a long day of walking the area. We got 2 pepperoni, jalapeño slices and a pint of ale each. the local beer we got was great and the slices were a very good size. The dough was very soft and almost felt like it blended with cheese, the sauce wasn't over whealming but made its presence known with every bite. Definitely would go back for some more slices when I'm back in this area.
