Had lunch here yesterday. Friendly attentive staff. Enjoyed so much we came back for dinner tonight. I can highly recommend the Moroccan chicken and also the spicy chicken special. Oh and the sangria is to die for.
This place is amazing! Our friend that lives in the Bay Area took us there and we loved it so much that we had dinner there our first night on Thursday night there and went back on Sunday for brunch before we left. The risotto and hummus were so delicious!!! The owner/chef is the most welcoming person we met in CA. Everything was fantastic from the decor to the waiters to the busser!
Great place and great food. The best experience I’ve had in SF so far. There is a twist to the food that can keep you going again and again! The service was exceptional!

Strictly speaking, It is not a mediterranean restaurant. They have meals from various cousins. We tried shrimp risotto, chicken in vodka sauce an mediterranean pasta. All tree were good, the risotto was the best.
We also liked a laid back atmosphere, nobody was pushing us to leave the place after we finished meals, we could enjoy outside siting while sipping our drinks
Great food! The restaurant have a nice inside atmosphere and great option to eat outside in the sidewalk. I ordered a shrimp risoto and my girlfriend a chicken pasta, both were perfect. The attendants was great!
These guys made me this lemon risotto, and scallop dish, that knocked my socks off.
This team really executes their meals so well, they dance when they cook, one cook cook flipping a pan, another adding salt to the pan. A knowing look exchanged, and it continued.

Not sure why this place isn’t always completely full with a line down the block. The beef/lamb stew is FIVE STARS especially on a chilly evening. Inside is cozy with a fireplace 🔥🔥 and open kitchen. Outdoor seating when the weather is nice. And a lovely jalapeño margarita…love this place!
Mostly a great experience. We could have used a bit more attention after we received our meal. I did ask for mild meatballs, they weren't very tasty.
SO. GOOD. Hybrid Mediterranean, Italian, and other cuisines. If you're looking for something new, interesting, and most of all, TASTY, come eat here! We had amazing Asian inspired green beans (get them!), amazingly creative and delicious salmon over quinoa with a balanced, nuanced, and complex flavor profile, topped with a peach sauce that had the perfect pinch of sweet (get that too!). One of us got a burger with the garlic fries, and let me tell you, the fries were BOMB. They had just the right amount of garlic, and the fries themselves were moist but not greasy, crisp (but not too crunchy) on the outside, and soft but not mushy on the inside. Who knew French fries could be perfected??? The service and the atmosphere were both great, and the only negative was the price. We're all college students, so definitely can't eat here every night, but it was so SO worth it.

The service was a little slow, although the restaurant was getting empty around 10pm... but the staff is sweet and friendly and the food was delicious: try the salmon in rosemary and champagne sauce as entrées and the fried banana with icecream as dessert. To die for!!
The Castro has long been known for bad overpriced restaurants in the foodie paradiso of SF. Mystique is an exception. They offer some kind of Mediterranean fusion, many Italian dishes NOT prepared in an Italian form. There serve four or five risottos: Chicken, Shrimp, Lemon, lamb and beef (?) risotto, each seasoned mild, medium or spicy. I had the chicken mild, very spicy for me. But it was very good. The rice was perfect, and not a soupyl, which I hate. Nice quiet atmosphere inside or also. they have seating n the street.
