We ate at the bar on a Saturday evening at 7pm as we did not have a reservation and fully booked. They charge a 10% extra because employees have health insurance. Restaurant part quite loud so we were pleased eating at the bar. Portion not big.

We booked the “Chefs Lounge” private dining experience via the Tock app and it was a very unique, delicious night. They take you through the kitchen, up a set the back stairs to a dark hidden room above the dining area — apparently it used to be a poker room and then an office, now you can book it for parties up to 10. We were served family style and everything was perfectly prepared. The service was excellent! This was our personalized menu: Prosecco Caviar Oysters House-Made Focaccia Burrata Salad Meatballs Truffle Gnocchi Pan Seared Salmon Tuscan Fried Chicken Crispy Potatoes Spinach Chocolate Budino & Olive Oil Cake Highly recommend if your looking for something different in SF.

My date took me here for cocktails before dinner. I loved the mural along the bar and even when the restaurant was busy we could enjoy our conversation. The cocktail list looked good but I asked out bartender Margarito if he made a special cocktail he was proud of, and he didn’t disappoint! He made me an Apropos that was delicious, and my date’s Negroni was excellent too. Great service 🍸

Food was excellent. Ambiance lively and energetic. Friendly and fun. Darkish lighting but really good. Waiter made helpful suggestions to accommodate one vegan diner. Had red wines by the glass, all good. Toasted thick slices of bread were simple but amazingly good. Caccio e pepi with lumache pasta (kind of a small shell shape) was a stand out. All dishes were great.

Wonderful meal and evening. The only detractor was the 10% “service charge” to cover doing business in SFO. Want to tip nice in the 18% to 20% range pushes your bill up by 30%. For example. Our party of 4 tonight ea had 2 cocktails, we shared a single bottle of wine with appetizers, mains, deserts and our bill was $455 + 10% svc charge, +10% tax + tip. All in all $600. i would be happier if the restaurant just added the service charge into the cost of the meal.

Enjoyed an evening of drinks +dinner while visiting family. Good vibes and delicious food, compliments to the chef for such a creative take on some Italian classics such as homemade focaccia, arugula salad, braised short ribs rigatoni and Lumache Cacio e Pepe. And tasty puddings too!

A friend and I slipped in to Tosca Cafe before the dinner crowd arrived. The food was delicious and they still make a darn fine martini. It gets loud when full of happy diners, but is an still enjoyable and elegant San Francisco eatery.

I hadn't been since the new ownership and I have to say the food and cocktails are even better than before. The negronis are to die for. And that pappardelle OMG. They even managed to make a simple caprese outstanding. Why did it take us so long to go when we just live a 5 minute walk away when we are in SF.

Old school gem in North Beach - sat at the bar and enjoyed some delicious pasta and crafted cocktails. Highly recommend the Orecchiette & Mussels and Olive Cake for dessert. Also sipped the Mambo Italiano cocktail and
