Review Chambers - Phoenix Hotel - San Francisco

Chambers was a delight, a really unique venue with some equally unique and inventive creations. It's worth braving the 'Loin for a weekend brunch. Ihad the Hangover Hash Dry aged short rib pastrami, red bliss potato, cabbage, giardiniera, horseradish, rye toast, two eggs sunny side up. It was the bomb dot com. The pastrami was perfect, some of the best I've ever had outside of NYC and it just melted in my mouth. The artful trimmings just rounded out the whole meal, I was really impressed. My friend had the the Pork Belly, tried a bite and was equally impressed. He loved his meal as well. We also shared the biscuits and gravy and it was decadent, great combo. My wife had the Spiced French Toast, and it was a beautiful constructed dish. She said it tasted as good as it looked, the bourbon syrup set it off. Our waiter was a bit of a weirdo, only drawback of the experience. My wife asked if the biscuits and gravy was vegetarian and he said it has sausage in it "but you can just scrape it off" Wow. Thanks, jackass, never thought of that! All the vegetarians of the world now have a great alternative; just scrape the meat off the dishes and you're all set! :) July 2015.

Today is February 28, 2021, and Chambers opened again and hopefully for good. I love Chambers; the staff is very young, friendly, and goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable, happy, and special. At night the fire is magical, and the music is excellent and not too loud. Take the homeless crisis around the hotel as part of the experience and realize how fortunate we are to have so many privileges when other people don't. Today, Sunday, we went for brunch, and we enjoyed a great party with a live DJ, the most extraordinary music, and all the sun and glamour of this super chic place. Isabel, the owner, is the best and she will try to accommodate any special request that you could have. When you are here is challenging to think that you are in the middle of the city rather than in some fantastic and sophisticated hidden gem in LA or Ibiza. Great place to go with a group of your closest friends to have fun and enjoy the music. Highly recommended.

Great food, decor, and service. I've been here 3 times - twice for brunch, and once for a large birthday party. The brunch food is excellent, and I love the mocktails. We had a 16-person birthday dinner recently and the people who helped us plan it were super helpful and accommodating. We all enjoyed the fixed menu and the punch bowl. If you are thinking of planning a party there, they have 3 tiers of menus: $45, $55, or $65 per head. We got the $55 option. The soups were individual and everything else was family style. We were satisfied with the portions, but people with bigger appetites might desire bigger portions.

May be the most beautiful place in the Tenderloin. Chef gets creative with the dishes. The drinks are always strong and tasty. The day parties by the pool is always a big draw. Be sure to get a room at the Phoenix Hotel, it’ll take your experience to the next level.

Came here for Brunch on a Saturday. The area is somewhat sketchy seeing as it is in the Tenderloin so it's surrounded by homeless people in tents or outside (my heart goes out to them being a local). However this little restaurant is just amazing the moment you walk in to the dining area. Old vinyls decorate the shelves along with a lovely atmosphere of wood furniture and cozy comfy seats. It is simly lit for the romantic aspects of couples dining in. The food was delicious! I highly recommend ordering the souffle pancake Asap and definitely share if you plan on having your own entrees. I honestly cannot wait to come back!

This restaurant is located in the Phoenix Hotel which is a retro-chic 1960s motel inspired décor. Very interesting and fun terrace. The food has Spanish influence with a modern take on it. I had the Arroz con pollo (Chicken with rice) and the crema catalana (creme brule with a Catalan twist). Both were very good and savory. A cool place check out in the Tenderloin district.

Wow where do I begin with this place. Overall one of my favorite dining experiences, 5 stars overall. Food - the food was amazing. Everything we tried we were more and more impressed. My favorites were the burrata and the fresh spring rolls. I highly recommend to anyone stopping by! Drinks - cocktails listed were unique, well priced, and overa delicious. Tried a few and I just wanted to keep going down the list. I recommend the gin cucumber drink so refreshing! Experience - to the restaurant and chef, thank you. We came in late for the last seating of the night and we felt so terrible. The chef and staff were so accommodating and made sure we still had an enjoyable experience even as we were trying to rush and get out of there to let them get on with their night which was very appreciated. The venue is SO cute with the outdoor pool, fire pits, and cute seating areas for larger parties. My only note to add is that the restaurant is a little hidden and unfortunately a lot of homeless people outside. If you are lost or need help the Phoenix hotel is in the same building and a nice man helped us get to where we needed to be. Can’t wait to come back and visit again everything was amazing!

Can't say enough about the FANTASTIC staff, good food, GREAT bespoke cocktails, and the EXPERIENCE! Tucked inside the infamously seedy Tenderloin Neighborhood, Chambers/Phoenix is the land-that-time-forgot beautifully updated with a 2000's fine dining menu and bespoke cocktails. Stylish friends of all ages run around the inner courtyard and pool in everything from Tom Ford evening wear to a bikini. Sit right down in a semi-private cabana or enjoy the inside lounge themed in vinyl records (1950-1975). I'll be back!...rent a room, enjoy the pool for a long afternoon...

Attention food lovers of the SF Bay Area: don't be scared away by the Chambers Tenderloin location. I was skeptical going in as they throw many parties interconnected with the Phoenix Hotel. Most of these summer rage-athons are splish-splash pool parties, yoga events and concerts. Which is why I was skeptical. But let me tell you, the food is wonderful and staff was excellent! This is now a must visit for my short list to friends and family visiting SF. FYI-The souffle pancake 🥞 takes 45 minutes to create in the kitchen. Not a hipster 45 minutes; a real 45 minutes, which means patience pays in souffles.

Love the pool! The ambience here is a killer. We were a large group of people and were seated outdoor facing the pool and the hotel rooms while having cocktails.. felt like a movie scene! Food was a hit or miss. I heard from my friends that the lamb burger was nice, but the pork belly was the bomb, also the pasta dish and tofu dish were not recommended. I had hummus with flatbread, personally I think it's acceptable, but my friends who are not used to the Greek flavor hummus didn't enjoy it. As a starter the hummus portion was big, can definitely share with people and order extra flatbread.

Decent joint. One weird note though. They have a photo booth and didn't change the footer on it... So I paid $5 to lose one photo square in exchange for my everlasting reminder that "The Bridgespan Group had their 2023 SF Kickoff Party at Chambers in the Phoenix Hotel"... 🤷‍♂️

One of the best salmon I’ve ever had! It was soo good. The appetizers were amazing as well. I got the roasted cauliflower, it was mouth watering. I don’t give it 5 stars because the wall to the restaurant at night can be uncomfortable. I never mind the tenderloin area or the homeless people but this time around few guys wouldn’t stop following me and cat calling. Ugh

Great environment, good drinks and food. Nice place to socialize. In the night there’s Dj.
