Great comfort food and good margaritas. Only complaint was that the salsa was not particularly good.

This place is really good. I've been going there for years, particularly for their veggie burrito. However, the last few months something has changed and the cheese that they use is just not nearly as good as it used to be. It's still better than a lot of places though, but it's just not really really good like it used to be. I wish they could use the original cheese in there dishes again

Food was delicious, service was fast but the atmosphere was hectic and loud. There was only a table right be the door available and therefore it was hectic and busy - better get a reservation. We came there without reservation and were only 2 people, and got lucky to get a table right away.

You need to eat here! This is the only place in SF I've found that serves such delicious Mexican food in a more upscale environment. I've even taken my Mexican family here, that's how authentic it tastes. Between their brunch service and their dinner, I probably eat here once a week. For dinner I usually have a super burrito or the fajitas. For brunch, I like to switch it up, but my husband always gets the exact same thing - the duck chilaquiles with a poached egg. There's never very much of a wait and once you're seated the service is quick and everyone is very friendly. Can't recommend it enough!

delicious street tacos w traditional beans and rice was our after the show fare. Dishes large and small abounded in this busy upbeat establishment. This tiny place had a line out the door by 5:45 and this was on a Tuesday evening. Wait staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Nice strong and not too sweet traditional margaritas, too. We’ll be heading back again and again.

Absolutely SENSATIONAL! ✨✨✨ We got quesadillas (carnitas and pastor), chilaquiles, and the queso fundido. As a born in Mexico, mexican-american, the queso fundido was authentic tasting and delicious. 5 stars for the food, the vibe, the drinks. It was all so good! Can’t wait to be back!!!

I’ve been coming to Papito frequently during the last couple of years. Everything I’ve ordered has been delicious, but the enchiladas are the star attraction. Recommend the carnitas! The drinks are really great too, I love their margaritas and sangria. The service is attentive and friendly. Highly recommend for when you’re in Hayes Valley!

Amazing service and delicious food! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I had their Burrito Mojado which is a wet burrito filled with Spanish rice, black beans, pico, guacamole, monterey jack cheese, and sour cream. The whole thing is baked and topped with red and green sauce, more cheese, sour cream, and onions. Delicious and SO filling. It was the size of a small child so needless to say, I did not finish it. I choose carnitas for the burrito and the meat was super tender and flavourful. I figured I should eat a vegetable so I also got their roasted Brussels sprouts. These were really good in spite of their vegetable status. I came on Cinco de Mayo so they had a number of specials including a Strawberry Horchata. Well, you can’t say no to that, can you? Great vibes here. It’s like one big party and everyone makes you feel like family!

My friend suggested we come here for lunch. Place is super clean. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Food is super delicious. Only thing I didn't like was that it's not a cheap lunch. It's pretty pricy.
