Best meal I have had in the US!! The food was amazing and so was the service. We ordered the idli and vada sambar and fried idlis for appetizers. The food was hot, quick and delicious. THE SAMBHAR IS A MUST HAVE!! It was as good as my mother's. We had masala dosas for dinner and again, perfection. The chutneys they serve with the dishes go very well and are a great pairing. The service was timely, professional and courteous. Great place to eat. Definitely coming back.

Delicious food! A bit on the expensive side but totally worth the price with the food, ambience and service. You may want to reserve your table before you arrive as this restaurant is usually busy and you may have to wait for over an hour on an extremely busy day. For appetizers we ordered Wada Pav (sliders) and Idli Fries. Wada Pav was delicious where as I didn't quite enjoy the Idli Fries as they were a bit dry. For main course, we ordered dosa and uttapum. They were great!

Good place for tasty South Indian delicacies. Little pricey but the ambience and service makes up for it. I ordered for a 'Thali'; while the food was tasty, the portion was for 2 or 3 people. I don't like wasting food but ended up leaving most of it on the plate.. :-(

DOSA is one of, if not the best, restaurant in San Francisco. Food: Bold flavors, texture heaven, spice stories, silk road exoticism with California freshness. The small bites, desserts, and cocktails are equally memorable. Service & hospitality: Top notch and seamless It's also family owned and a truly lovely space. It's a Monday night place, a weekend treat, and a special occasion affair. I couldnt ask for more! BE HERE

Very high end Indian restaurant. Awesome customer service, great food and super fast service. The appetizer Corn chat is small in portion but deep in taste. Some of the dishes are pretty decent in portions and done are just enough for a bite or two. Every dish is well made and leave you wanting more. The desert, Tapioca Kheer, is truly yummy and ended up ordering more than we wanted. Don't you miss to try this out, if you like Indian desserts. Overall a great place and fantastic experience. Money well spent on an evening with the entire family.

Excellent South Indian food with yummy appetizers and delicious dosa (huge garnished crepes). Mostly vegetarian but some non-veg choices as well. If you ask for spicy, they will make it spicy! The location is very classy with its high ceilings and dim lights (hence the poor pictures). Service is top notch.

Best food ever! Everything we ordered turned out to be great, right from the idli fries, vada pao, trio of dosas and uttapam, Chennai chicken, the roasted egg masala and the multiple desserts!! Definitely coming back again with an even bigger appetite.

Named after the popular South Indian delicacy ‘dosa’, this is a popular eatery in San Francisco. The food is good. The ‘Channa Bhatura’ is quite unique in its presentation. The restaurant is quite pricey. All in all, a good experience but not extraordinary. Advanced reservations are a good idea especially on weekend evenings. I was concerned about parking but found the public parking garage at the intersection of Post and Fillmore.

Dosa on Filmore serves good Indian fare with emphasis on ambience, presentation and subtle tastes. Service is very prompt and extremely good. We were a party of 6 that walked in 30 minutes before the afternoon closing and were accommodated in a good table, helped by someone very fast to get going. Portions are relatively small and the dishes and drinks are very pricey $$$$ (added 20% gratuity for our party) so expect to shell out a minimum of three figures for a brunch for two. We tried the vada pav (veggie sliders), dahi vada (fritters in yoghurt sauce), masala dosa (crepe with spicy potato curry - one of the namesake dosas), uthapams (buttermilk battered crepes), along with excellent drinks like lassi peach cobbler and mimosas.

Everything was really good, from the chutneys at the beginning and all the appetizers. We were a big group and the food that we had was perfect to share while we enjoyed their drinks (highlights to Steph Curry or Masala Mule).
