Came here with a group of friends and we had a prior reservation so we got seated right away! Good: - The pesto and bread here is AMAZING - so tasty - The shrimp risotto was great, I loved how large it was and it also tasted great, I was savoring each morsel - Really sweet apple tartine - so good with the ice cream though - Nice ambiance for catching up - a little bit dimmer on the inside Bad: - Service was a bit hard to reach and it was hard to flag people down - They never brought us an extra basket of food Overall really enjoyed my meal here and would recommend it! Not too busy on a Thursday afternoon either.

Amazing local neighborhood dining experience. Zach is extremely nice and professional and helps me practice my French when we go. They have special deals which I'll let you find on your own when you go. Definitely worth the visit every time, highly recommend.

Lovely place, small but nice atmosphere for a date or dinner with friend. Prix fixe was delicious; roasted coliflower soup, blacked sole was good (also sauce done well & veggies delicious), and dessert was my favorite, almond margarine with delicious fruit souce. It is $19.75 (although the menu hasn't been updated yet & still listed $17.50)

We went in here very hungry and famished. Omg!!! The food and the ambience was amazing. It's in a quiet neighborhood and at first you will be confused if you reached the right place. But you get to eat the most reasonably priced food. The crab cakes were to die for. And the food portions are perfectly sized.

Food was excellent, service pretty slow. Verrrrry long delay between appetizers and entrees, but to their credit were perfectly cooked. Had grilled salmon, calamari appetizer, and also a salad on the specials menu, and you probably would be in good shape ordering just about anything here.

Really cozy restaurant with great service and food. They have a 3-course meal deal for a very good price and a nice selection of wine. The place is cozy and intimate (just enough lightening), perfect for bringing a date or for a girls' night out. We celebrated my friend's birthday there and they made it super cute: I asked of they could bring a chocolate cake dessert as a surprise to her, and they did it perfectly (even with a candle on top). I recommend going for the 3 course meal deal and a red Pinot wine for those who like wines on the sweet side.

If you are looking for a modest neighborhood seafood grill, then this is definitely the place for you. There is no fancy menu or plating. But everything is guaranteed fresh and delicious. If you go before 7 pm between Wednesday and Saturday, then they would offer an over the top deal of a three course meal for $17.50. Only $17.50!!! A choice of salad or soup of the day, fish of the day, and a dessert. It’s a crazy good deal especially when we all are feeling the weight of inflation everywhere. I went with my family of four. We ordered two of the three course meal deal, and two others of our choice. I also ordered the mussels as the appetizer, only 14 dollars!! The mussels were fresh and juicy. I don’t usually like mussels but this time I have to lick my plate. They offered complimentary bread and olive oil pesto dip. I also ordered a poached pear salad. The soup of the day was mushroom. And I remembered last time I had lobster bisque. I mean, the lobster bisque was part of the $17.50 meal deal! Unbelievable! The other day I went to a food truck and ordered a lobster bisque and they charged me $19 just for that soup! And the flavor was nothing compare to what Alamo Square offered. So let’s talk about the fish. They offered different ways to cook the fish. I personally prefer blackened. We had salmon, snapper and sole fish. My favorites are the salmon and snapper. They also offered a variety of sauces to go with the fish. I think the best are either the hollandaise cream sauce or the garlic butter. I also want to say that the fish without the sauce would be just as perfect! For desserts I had the tiramisu and the crème brûlée. Both were great choices. The tiramisu is just as good as the one I got from Italian town. The crème brûlée is huge! I also got a coffee to go with the dessert. Here is the plus: the owner is fun and kind. We chatted for a little bit and he joked about wanting to hire my husband to work there. He gave us two free upgrades for our desserts that came with the meal deal. When he asked me whether I would return next week, I genuinely felt he wanted to see us again. And honestly, most if not all restaurants are raising their prices due to the crazy inflation. I have yet to meet one who has not done that, everyone except Alamo square seafood grill. I don’t know why the owner won’t choose to raise prices, but my guess is that he just want to continue to serve his neighborhood with all that he can. If any of you are dining out and thinking to support local business in SF Bay Area, please check out this place. As for me, I will definitely return.

The environment was modern. The mussles were good, though the fries served alongside them were not crunchy. The service was quite fast. The restaurant is family-friendly. The prices are relatively cheap for San Francisco and what you're getting. I had the grilled Rainbow Trout with Bearnaise sauce. I had a chocolate cake for dessert which was excellent. It was a splendid meal.
