A solid restaurant. Great service, friendly and helpful staff. Not sure of what to order don't worry their selection is amazing and the workers would help you with a quality selection on their menu. Come alone or with some people. There is plenty of space in the restaurant.

Popped in here today at a whim, great whim! Was greeted by Tricia warmly, place has a nice vibe with light music playing, open seating space, very clear, and constant flow of in person, call in, and Dash pick ups!
Easy menu wirh options for everyone, today I got the Mahi Mahi with a creamy sauce and capers -which came with rice and a super tasty macaroni salad! Everything was cooked and prepared perfectly! Really hit the spot.

and frequent their location in Tierrasanta and Chula. Wish I knew this outstanding restaurant was here long ago bc we go to a NOT so great one nearby when craving a Hawaiian Plate Lunch. You MUST give Homestyle Hawaiian in Point Loma a try over all other Hawaiian plate lunch AND traditional Hawaiian cuisine if in the area. Hands down food is outstanding and fresh and servings very generous!👼

I tried the Mahi with lemon caper sauce for lunch on 15 Aug 23. SO good. The Mahi was lightly pan seared and perfectly done - tender but not dry. Man im going to be thinking about that all day. Tasty lumpia too, give this place a try!

The lava chicken is honestly the best chicken ive had in years. The spice level is conservative with a very balanced sweetness to finish. Highly reccomend.

After spending years stationed in Hawaii my wife and I stopped in because we were looking for some of our favorite foods from the islands. We were not disappointed at all. Food was amazing and the staff was extremely friendly. We tried another Hawaiian location in SD but this one blew it out of the water. Can't wait to go back.

First time here for my husband and I today... we really enjoyed the food - we ordered the Big Bruddah and the Kalua Fries.. all of the items were really flavorful with huge portions. Loved the atmosphere and customer service was great! We will definitely be back again soon to try other dishes.

Love this place! It's one of the only places I can take 5 picky kids to and everyone is stoked out! My son eats the Teri beef so fast you have to watch your fingers! The oldest is so picky she won't even eat pizza but scarfs on the Teri chicken! Try the loco or the Korean chicken! Insane

I had the Teri Salmon with all Mac. It tasted great like all of their dishes, but it unfortunately was small in portion (quite disappointed). I think it was because it was close to closing and they were running out of the salmon. I’ll go back because their food taste great.

Everything I have had is so delicious and filling. Today I tried the Mahi with Lemon Capers (cooked to perfection)...YUM! I don't eat beef or pork so I usually get the Teri Chicken because it is so tasty and there is so much food, it makes a couple of meals for me. The veggie lumpias are great and I love the fried zucchini. Oh...and the Dole Whip and malasadas...I think I've gained 5 pounds extra due them!
Tricia and Gil are very nice, down-to-earth people and make you feel very welcome and will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. You may not always get your food super fast because HH is not a fast food chain. Your food is being cooked to order so be patient when you are there and enjoy the good vibes!

The food was great too. Teri Beef and the Kalbi were my favorite with the katsu a close second as far as the meats go. We will be back to try more, especially since its right around the corner. Glad this is in the neighborhood!
