Finally went there on my 1st trip with some friends for their happy hour from 3pm - 6pm daily! A unique Chinese Tapas Bar managed by a petite Chinese lady from Shanghai. Name is creative, Shanghai Bund a famous area in Shanghai. Omit the D for its name!
Excellent food with top notch service! Saw a big group of ladies on my 1st dining trip. Celebrated a birthday, it was their 2nd dining & drinking trip.
Brought my cousin & her husband from North Carolina with their friends for happy hour. Everyone enjoyed their food. Nancy the owner was so nice, reserved a table for 7 pax in a cosy corner. I was delighted that she still remembered me when I called to make the reservation.
I highly recommend Shanghai Bun to diners who want something unique - Chinese Tapas bar with delectable food, drinks and top notch service. Nice ambience and car park is convenient(behind the building). Street car park near by. Hot favourite is their happy hour menu.
If you are a Kimchi fan, must order this dish. Looks fiery hot & it was! Our Korean friend remarked very good! Chef knows how to make Korean Kimchi. Taste was very fresh and not salty. No MSG!
A staff highly recommended cucumber salad. It looks plain but wow the taste was awesome. Cucumber slices in garlic sauce. Cucumber was very crispy and delicious. Well marinated with garlic sauce.
Har gow(shrimp dumplings) - steamed dumplings with pork, napa caabbge & onions. Tasted like har gow from my homeland Singapore.
Their special home made drink with fresh ginger & lychee juice. A unique combination of fresh ginger & lychee juice. A cold drink minus ice cubes.
We were so excited to check out Shanghai bun and it did not disappoint! Even better, we got 2 25% off coupons in the mail!! My friend and I must have tried half of the menu and while everything was fantastic the pork dumplings were what I keep craving more of. Lila at the bar was sweet, helpful, and just fantastic! We enjoyed the Hands-On approach from the owners, who not only ran our food, checked on us, and joked with us, but we also saw them behind the bar washing dishes and polishing glasses, showing that they really care for their establishment. Shanghai Bun will definitely be a regular spot for me and my friends!
I visited this place on a Wednesday in the afternoon. The service and atmosphere was wonderful. I was looking to eat some dim sum and the quality is 5 out 10. It tasted like it was heated up from a market bought dumplings. But the egg plant stir fry was yummy and the salt and pepper calamari was awesome!
Oh My God! What an amazing experience. I have had dumplings in the past, but not like this. I had the chance to try four kind of dumplings, shrimp, pork, pork and shrimp, and chicken. The Hot sauce was tasty. I tried the noodles with curry, shrimp, veggies, and meat, great. Tea, just good. Customer service very good. I will be back.

Our entree we got was from the wok chicken with the Szechuan sauce and trimmings. My only complaint was that it was very sweet. However it did come beautifully cooked with a large portion of chicken and wonderfully stir fried veggies.
Service left something to be desired, but they got the job done.
We've been wanting to try this restaurant for the longest time, so finally today we did to celebrate Chinese New Year!
Now we know what we've been missing, but not anymore! What a gem hiding in plain sight! A must try for all the locals! But shhhhh
This is a great place to relax and enjoy an excellent dinner! Lorenzo is very attentive and an excellent server. The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I highly recommend this place!
My husband and I stopped in for some snacks and beverages after running some errands in the area. Took advantage of their happy hour, and we are so happy we did! Great selection of small plates of dim sum and appetizer selections, and they have a decent beer selection (didn't check out the wine). TVs at the bar, tables inside and out back in a patio area. We will make this a regular stop!
Sitting in here right now. Atmosphere is chill, and the food is made to order and absolutely mouth watering. Try the BBQ pork buns!!
First time visitor - happened during COVID-19. Staff was super friendly and made us feel comfortable choosing seating. Some indoor and some on back outside patio. They took their time to answer all questions and made recommendations. When the food arrived it was absolutely delicious! Fav dish by far is the salt/pepper calamari. It's out of this world and best prepared calamari I've ever had. We had a small grouo, but ordered a lot to sample as much as possible. I will definitely be coming back again... and again...
The food and service at Shanghai Bun was really good. The Bulgogi Tacos are really tasty. They offer dine, carry out and have outdoor seating. On street parking is limited but they do have a rear parking lot. Will definitely go again.
Not bad - prices are very good. Soup dumplings are always good - although the first time I ever got them I found a hair and a piece of bone in the meat. The vegetable egg drop soup is amazing. The cucumber salad was so sweet I could not eat it - tasted like candy. All of dishes I've had have been satisfying. I was hoping this place would be a cozy little Chinese ambience to enjoy some dumplings but turns out it's more like an American sports bar. The dine in food tastes far better than the take out.
