Me and my boyfriend highly recommend this place! We both quite like Indian food and this place has a very authentic menu.
We started the experience having a Daal Soup - which is very flavorful and has a nice taste. We ordered a sweet Naan stuffed with mozzarella, Cashew, Raisins and shredded coconut and then baked into the clay oven. VERY DELICIOUS! The main dishes were HIMALAYAN YAK & YETI SPECIAL BIRYANI - A rice dish with a lot of different kinds of meat and VEGETABLE VINDALOO - a combination between vegetables and meat. They both are a little bit spicy but not too much, very tolerable for those who dislike spicy/hot dishes like me.
We ended up trying the GULAB JAMUN - a Juicy and sweet milk balls dessert, very very sweet but different.
We both highly recommend this place for everyone that wants to try an India experience.
PLUS: I loved the Indian songs in the background.
The place is located in La Mesa, North East of San Diego.
We had Vegetable Pakora, Lamb Saag with rice , a butter nan and a special nan. All tasted great. It was not busy at 3 p.m. on Saturday. I saw two groups of Indian coming in for early dinner. Must be authentic. Would love to go back and try different dishes.
Finally found great Indian food in San Diego! We had butter chicken, mutter paneer, garlic naan, a mango lassi, and gulab jamun. Everything was awesome! And they gave us complimentary lentil soup so you know this place is legit.
Chicken vindaloo(very good. Loved the soft potatoes and herbs). Chicken curry (excellent! Light on spice; tender; perfect blend of herbs with veggies). Daal soup ( lentil texture-okay. Bland in taste; Naan bread helped). Basmati rice (perfectly cooked, wanted extra bowl👌) and cold coconut cream... custard? (not a fan of anything coconut).
1st time patron. Lovely setting. Warm and welcoming greeting. Intimate place to dine for 2 or bring family. Somewhat of a hideaway in a strip mall located in the Rolando/San Diego area. I look forward to going back again for lunch special ($15 for 2 meat entrees with soup, rice, and naan bread) or a full dinner experience😋
A Hidden Gem!
Had a late lunch at this wonderful restaurant. The food was amazing and so fresh. The service was excellent!
I had the Butter chicken,
vegetable samosa, butter naan and rice. Everything was well made and hot. I was served enough to be full and took home left overs.
If you're looking for a great dine-in experience and authentic Indian food, definitely give this place a try.
Food was excellent! Was recommended by reddit community and was well deserved. Got the Lamb Korma, Chicken Tiki Masala, Butter Chicken and Chicken Saag. Highly recommend. Even my grandmother, who does not like new places is calling all of her friends to tell them about her great experience with Indian cuisine. Super casual spot. Will go often.
Some the best food you are going to have in San Diego. I felt like I was invited into their home kitchen. Everything was made from scratch. Perfect temperature and the spice level was out of this world. Highly recommended. We've been there like 4 times now.
The food and service is phenomenal! The quality of the food is incredible and it's some of the most delicious Indian food I've ever had. The service was also top notch, they were so polite and so on top of everything. This was definitely worth the one hour drive to go too. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Really great tasting food & authentic, service was fantastic. Only marketing it 4 stars as they were out of stock of about 40% of the things we asked for, like Mango Chutney, even to the essentials like Fanta, Sprite etc.
Long over due review. Love the chicken curry, chicken kadia, and chicken tikka masala! The medium spicy is what I expected. Easy to find and the atmosphere is comforting. Owner is really nice as well.
