Caffe Vicino

All the times I've come here, I have felt so welcomed. Not only are the offerings delicious every time, but the workers have always been so warm and inviting. I also love how diverse and eclectic the patrons are; I'm comfortable being here. I don't feel that staff and customers are over privileged, entitled individuals. Rather, they live up to the name - Humble.

I have been meaning to visit this shop for awhile and finally had the chance this past weekend. I ordered the Pakistani chai and my friend had an iced latte. The chai was made fresh and had the perfect amount of spice, it's not as spicy as the usual masala chai that's more widely sold. The shop inside was super cute and small, but that's to be expected of a good coffee shop. They have some benches and tables outside for seating as well if it feels a bit too cramped inside. The cashier was friendly and helpful and made sure our orders were correct and confirmed whether we needed any modifications. The shop is a little out of the way but totally worth it! I'm glad to have seen their products offered on my school campus as well.

Update review: I came here again today with the caffeine crawl tour. We tried their tiramisu coffee, it was super super delicious!!!! Not too sweet kind of light but still very flavorful. We also tried the Turkish coffee, you can feel the spices and their special recipe in it. I think this place is a real hidden gem. They also have their own home made almond milk and oatmilk. Come to check it out! Previous review: Very cute coffee shop in Mission hills & Clairemont area. I can tell people in this neighborhood love this place. When I got there, it’s pretty packed, people are hanging out and studying there. The service is very nice, I have a lot of requests for my drink, I don’t drink coffee and I’m lactose intolerant. They made a almond milk chai tea for me. It is delicious! They are very patient and friendly. I definitely would recommend this place to you all!

Amazing coffee, the best roast beef sandwiches, and their freshly made desserts are the best, especially the banana bread. When i’m in town, my go-to order would be their iced Turkish latte. The vibes are also very cozy, the perfect spot to get work done from. If i could order for delivery from outside of San Diego, I would.

This place is a hidden gem! The coffee, the food, the service, the decor, everything about this place is 5 Star 10/10. I needed something strong to wake me up and was recommended the desert rose. My friend ordered a ‘Grandpa’s Grilled Cheese’. Both were absolutely amazing!! Everyone was friendly as well. Great Vibes! Can’t wait to go back and support this local business!!

If you’re in San Diego, this is a must for amazing coffee! I went to to a few coffee spots in San Diego and honestly, don’t waste your time, come to humble bean. And not only is the coffee amazing but you have to try the Cookie Butter pound cake! Its extremely moist and not overly sweet. Definitely recommend getting it with your coffee order! I got the Vietnamese iced coffee and went back the next day before my flight!
