We love the food, the extensive bar, and the ambience! It's all good! The Caccio e Peppe is a delicious pasta dish, the Short ribs Pappardelle with bok choi is an Asian-influenced tasty delight, and the delicious brussle sprouts w/candied bacon are full of flavor. We like to start off with the chicken skin chips with a zesty chipotle aioli... and parmesan truffle fries... and some drinks! We've tried so many dishes and love them all. Ask the owner to introduce you to the unique types of alcohol and do a tasting. Bring friends and make an evening of it. Don't rush, enjoy and savor all of it!

Finishing off the New Year with delicious food from a new spot Exec Chef Jessica Fisher and Chef Rachel Snyder was amazing. Beautiful cozy venue with great staff. Enjoying the Shishito toast and Parsnip Sweet Potatoe. As tasty as it was pretty. Definitely recommend the 278 Manhattan! 🍸

Fantastic new spot where the old Tractor Room was. It's now more airy and open with wonderful food. Very comfortable set up for brunch.

Wow was blown away by the food. The chicken fried bacon was amazing and now I plan to come back to try the fired chicken sandwich. The French toast was perfection. Soft well grilled and I never knew marshmallow fluff and starwberries completed it so well. The mimosa was on point as well.

Mid-Meal. Sunday Brunch. This place is a gem. Comfortable atmosphere; its a must go for people visiting San Diego and looking for an endless mimosa destination. 100% exceeded my expectations and I will definitely come back.

Went for super bowl party and they had discounted drinks and hamburgers for $5. Staff is super friendly and very attentive. I did not have food though which I regretted.

Great happy hour drinks and food. Try their fried chicken street tacos. Great, friendly staff also!

Kinda upscale, kinda home-feel, with a dive bar attitude. Great food, seriously great chicken tenders and an out of this world chicken sandwich. With thin well cooked fries the way I like them (crunchy and soft). Board games welcome, and available. Great brunch deals. Every time I've sat at the bar the conversation is great and I've made some fast friends. Highly recommended strange (in the best of ways) and lovely bar. In a fun and a little-weird neighborhood, this is a standout place you must try.

Stopped by this bar/grill for the first time last night because Project Bar next door was closed (permanently). 278 is awesome, I highly recommend their burger and chicken sandwich. Their happy hour deals are incredibly also. I will definitely be back for their happy hour deals probably at least once a week!

At first, I was a little bummed to see the tractor had closed its doors, but what a gem in its place. Bottomless (strong) mimosas, full bar, and fantastic food at human proportions. Service was great too - they answered all of our questions with cheer (even about the tractor room) and let us use the restroom before the doors open. Oh - we also left an item at our table and the staff graciously held it for us and put our name on it until we could get back to the area the next day. Biscuits and gravy were awesome - a new smokey flavor in a perfectly executed country gravy - better than mom's!!!

I came on a Sunday brunch after being able to snag a reservation for 8 easily through Yelp. We were seated promptly, and that's about where service took a turn for the worse. We weren't able to order for awhile, and about 45 minutes into waiting for our food, 3/8 orders were unable to be filled because ingredients had run dry. Not a big deal in the moment since the mimosas were flowing (this was always refilled quickly thank goodness!). Overall, the quality of the food was able to redeem the lackluster service. I'd love to come back again and give it another shot.
