Visiting from ky for the week. My son lives on the Navy base nearby and this was the “must go to” place he told us about. Did not disappoint! Love the strawberry drink!
You're a damned fool if you drive past this place and don't eat there. That is all. Unless you're already full, or hate deliciousness, that is.
Stopped here for quick breakfast bite. Never tried mexicali style hotdog until now. Similar to the ones you find in LA. Came bacon wrapped and garnished with onion and silantro. It had a really delicious sauce and mustard spread on the bun. Came with peppers on the side as well as caramelized onion. Once the hotdog was gone, the sauce coated the caramel onion. So good
El Paisa is a fantastic restaurant to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Not fast food and not really a dine in restaurant. But a happy medium that has an extensive authentic menu. You get a mixed crowd between locals, military personnel, and tourists. Every item on the menu will leave your taste buds salivating for more. Don't pass this establishment up. Really good Carne asada fries and rolled tacos! I love big portions and even the small was more than enough for me!
My friends and I ate regulars here. El Paisa restaurant is a great place to have breakfast or lunch on whatever your taste buds are craving.
Stop by and try their food.
Surf and turf burrito is delicious
This place was perfect as great customer service. This speaks spanish and english that has the authentic taste dishes. This is coming from somebody that grew up on Southern Texas Mexican food. They also have indoor and patio dining. For the price that I paid, the amount I got, and the great taste, honestly, I would say it beats most places out here.
The nicest staff of any place i've been in san diego. Food was delicious.
This is my go-to taco shop. No joke the best. I order the tacos or street tacos, usually cabeza, lingua, buche or birria, they are the best. The carne asada and adobada are good too. Tonight I took my family and friends and they loved it. Carne asada fries were perfect. Order the fresca (pink drink) they make it the best.
Im a san diego local and this place for us is a regular we come here often. As a hispanic this is the closest most authentic mexican spot in the area. Eating here is like moms home cooking 👌🏽💯🌮
This is the absolute BEST place for tacos and sopes in the San Diego area! With freshly char grilled meat, handmade corn tortillas, and fresh onions and cilantro, tacos El Paisa are my absolute favorite tacos in the world! Tacos de adobada are the best with the amazing salsas they bring you with warm house made chips. With the chips they bring a large platter of 4 different salsas, fresh raddishes, limons, and carrots en chili. Nice outdoor seating. Indoor seating is ok. Bathrooms aren't good and parking is limited, but that pails in comparison to the quality and flavor of their food. Try the agua de fresa (strawberry water) too. It's another thing they're the best at. As always, enjoy!
I Had A Delicious Plate Of Carne Asada With Rice And Beans With Corn Tortillas. Oh Yeah My Mitchella Lada Was Ice Cold.Yup Definitely Very Great Service, Yeah My Waiter Didn't Miss A Beat! I Totally Recommend This Restaurant And Say Bring Your Family.
