Nico's Taco Shop

We were in town for my husband's birthday and picked up food to-go. The shredded beef enchiladas were the best I've had at a restaurant. The sauce flavor was perfect. The service was lightning fast, and the chef & the woman who took our order were so nice. It was so good I wanted to come back before we headed home but we didn't have time. Thank you so much! <3 I wanted to order in Spanish but I wasn't brave enough!

Just wanted to share what an amazing experience we had with Nico's for catering. We ordered rice, beans and salsa to go with our home made tamales for a family party and since it was nearby, Trisha offered to deliver for free. I accidentally told her the wrong day and she called me when she arrived the day before the party. I was so upset that I messed up. She said no problem and was super kind and understanding. They happily remade the food for us the next day with no extra charge. That is amazing customer service and they have earned a customer for life! Not to mention, the food is delicious and the prices are super reasonable! Thank you, Trisha and Nico's!!

I've been getting breakfast burritos and chile verde burritos and taquitos and fish tacos from Nico's for almost 30 years and they always impress. Their restaurant is clean and friendly; it's nice to sit inside or outside. The staff is quick and friendly. A classic Carmel Valley restaurant with classic San Diego Mexican food.

I love their pollo asado burritos. Not sure what they do, but the chicken is so juicy and flavorful all wrapped in a fresh tortilla. I miss working in the area and walking here daily for lunch. The prices are good too, especially when you consider the location, I'd bet the rent in that plaza is high.
