One of my favourite places in San Diego. Comfortable and lowkey ambiance and great service. Everything on the menu is wonderful - this is a great place to try new things and learn about different dishes. My favourites include the cauliflower, chicken roganjosh, paneer saag, and ras malai. Great vegetarian and vegan options, and nuts/dairy are clearly marked on the menu
Today at Bombay Coast I had the Shrimp Konkan Curry and let me just say it was one of the best dinners I’ve ever had! I strongly encourage everyone to go and eat the delicious food at Bombay Coast, and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
No regrets, I came here on Friday for lunch and loved it. The naan was very fresh, and the seafood curry dish is a real winner.
I really enjoyed the food. We ordered a 3 entry combo and special lamb. The portions are large so we automatically get our lunch for the next day. Highly recommend the lamb and chicken. The lamb is soft and the yellow curry chicken has a great coconut flavor. I was here a few years ago, and they refreshed my impression of bombay coast as they did better than the bombay coast at UCSD (now closed). It's great that the food quality is still high after many years.
Yummy food, great service, nice decoration!
Food: perfectly spiced! quality food!
Service: waitress went above and beyond to accommodate our request in addition to being attentive and helpful!
Nice decoration: photographs and displays presented a history and story of East Indian cuisine. The murral on the wall is beautiful!

The food is so aromatic and cooked to perfection! I ❤️ the lunch special. I get to try 3 different items!
I've dined in & DoorDashed this restaurant many times. The food is great & the service meets my standards.
This evening as I ate with a friend, an Indian family of four came in asking for the restaurant's “letter” - that is, food inspection grade – only for the Indian owner to answer them with lies and contempt. He told them that the restaurant has a C grade, then a D grade. He raised his voice, saying awkward enough things to drive the family out of the restaurant without directly telling them to leave. Afterward, he remarked to his employees at the counter that customers like that can “go to hell”. He rearranged some pages on a board behind the counter so that the restaurant's A grade card became visible.
After some research, I understand that a restaurant's letter may not mean much in San Diego. I understand trying to trim up one's clientele. And I understand our right to Free Speech. Ultimately, witnessing this incident has made me question whether I want to, in the near future, be a customer of this business. I wish well to the parents & two children that were subjected to this owner's treatment.
I ordered the lamb samosa which was great, loved it. Then a 3 item combo, with chicken tikka masala, mango chicken, and a paneer curry.
The paneer I enjoyed particularly well. The other two were alright. Good service, will return.
Awesome lunch specials, a lot of flavor bombs for your taste buds! You get to choose 3 items from a pretty good sized list of meat or veggie dishes, comes with super light & fluffy Naan bread, a small side salad next to a plate of jasmine rice. You really can't pick a bad dish here, they're all good!
The small bowls hold a deceiving amount of food, great to pick a bunch of different dishes and share!
It was our first time here .We ordered lunch combination and A la Carte as well.Naan were well done and crispy. Each curry ( veg and non veg) had a unique flavor. It was not the same curry sauce.
Really enjoyed our visit to this place.
