I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was so good and we very quickly got our drinks and chips and salsa. There is a singer in the outside area where we sat and the decor made you feel like you were in Mexico. Delicious ice cream for desert. I will be back.
A nice, quiet restaurant. Casa de Maria replaced our favorite restaurant in Old Town. We stopped by for a quick meal before going to a performance at the Cygnet Theatre. We were glad to see a new restaurant in this spot. It is tucked away from the main walkway and is a hidden gem! We will be back when we have more time to explore their menu, they have mole!!!
It was so nice eating outside. We ordered a steak burrito. It was big, flavored perfect for for us. Chips and medium spice salsa were yummy and we got unsweetened ice tea. Perfect place to eat when fun shopping in old town.
We stopped by for a drink while visiting the old town. They have a Tequilla Taster special, 3 shots of a variety of Tequila's. Since we were not in anyway Tequila experts, we sked our server his recommendation and we went for the Favorite pack. I have to say that this brought back some college memories! The Tequila was great, all 3 of them shots. We didn't eat there so I can't say about the food but the service and Tequila were A+.
We have lived here for 30 years and never experienced this restaurant. We were walking through old town and heard great authentic live Mexican music and walked over. Ended up really enjoying the entire atmosphere and cocktails and our waiter Diego was awesome and really represented this restaurant well. If I were the owner, I would be very ecstatic to have an employee like this. As a local small business owner, I know how hard it is to find quality people and Diego is absolutely one of them. Come enjoy this hidden gem in old town.
I love this restaurant I've been there before. They normally have life music playing. Unfortunately the last time I was there it was one of the days where San Diego decided to let it Pour rain. So I missed out on the entertainment but the food made up for it. If you're going to go to Old Town for dinner make sure you go a little bit early if you have reservation so you can find a parking spot. There are few and far between and the parking lots get filled up quick.
The staff here is so friendly. They went out of their way to make sure our three dogs had ice water and even brought them chicken. The margaritas here are also the best and the live singer they have on Sundays is amazing. Flautas and guacamole was also super good.
Excellent food! Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had! Live entertainment next door really set the atmosphere. I highly recommend it!
Great food, the molcajete is really good, says for 2, but probably 3 could share, it's that filling. Chicken, carne asada, nopal, cheese, shrimp, sausage, salsa, etc. The Spicy Mango Margarita 🍹 very good as well. Went with friends, who said this is their favorite old town restaurant, then walked to Fiesta de Reyes stage area for music🎸and coffee☕
Been coming here for years whenever IM in San Diego and have never been disappointed.
The food is always good.
They have a charming patio dining experience in the old town San Diego area with great service and authentic Mexican food.
The guacamole is always made just right, and the enchiladas were the perfect balance, and the FRESH cactus is super tasty!
Would definitely recommend coming here if in San Diego.
Good everything, but really loved the woman singing out front. She was fabulous 😍
Here for Father's day walk up and was immediately seated. This has been the best we have ever been treated and served. Our waitress was beyond amazying. The food is great !. We ate more then what I took picture of. This is our new favorite spot everytime we come to San Diego!!
