The food was DELICIOUS. It’s hard to find good Mediterranean food and this restaurant has 29 years of experience making it well. I got the beef kebab and the meat was very well prepared (and marinated amazingly). Huge portions as well, will be back.

I have to update my review, only because I don't know where this lower rating is coming from. My old review below is from 6 years ago and we still go on the regular. We usually get it to go but you should really try dine it to get everything freshly cooked, just to experience it. Their greek salad dressing is the best, we hord that stuff. Tzatziki is on point. We order extra grilled skewers of veggies (that might not still be on the menu, but order anyway). The charred onions and tomatoes are so good with the meats, sauce, and rice. I mean, for the price absolutely 5 stars...
Mediterranean Cafe is on our regular list for good reason. Three words, "Dinner for two," which is their extensive dinner with samplings of everything Greek. Very inexpensive and very good. Satisfies your Greek food cravings until you're ready to go back for more.

Shared the dinner special for two and it was DELISH!! A perfect amount of food, beautiful tasty dolmas, pitas, and the meat was scrumptious. The atmosphere is also really cute we met Fred who was so lovely. Will be returning to this charming lil spot

This is the most under rated restaurant in San Diego. The service is friendly, food delicious and healthy, and quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Today the temperature outside was 90, and inside was cool and comfortable. Go give it a try.

For me, this place was a knockout. Not only was the atmosphere friendly, warm, and welcoming to the weary traveler, but also a heavy pour on the wine while I waited for my gyro dish. The hummus was absolutely delicious. Very authentic! I will warn you, if you have never had real falafel -brace yourself because this is what it's supposed to taste like! 10 out of 10 for me and I will be back when I'm in the area again. I highly recommend the Gyro Plate with a side of Falafel... And don't forget the vino! 🍷🍷🍷 ❤️❤️❤️

I live in the area and have frequented this place about 3 times a month for 3 years, the half chicken meal never disappoints and their yogurt sauce is absolutely amazing! Highly recommend

The owner is a wonderful guy. I love coming to eat here. He is welcoming and always knows what I want to order before I put my order in. The staff is always friendly and I appreciate them very much 👍🤘🏼
