Palomino's

In a world of strip malls full of Asian food options, Palaminos might be your only Mexican food option for at least a block in any direction. I had the Del Mar burrito. Good size with fried fish, shrimp, and rice all making a delicious bite. My wife got a fish taco. The portion of the fried fish was good. Not overly crispy which is good. Topped with lettuce and tarter sauce and not cabbage and white sauce. Maybe that is the Cali way and not the AZ way. The side of rice was good too. Anyway, I recommend you give Palaminos a visit if you find your self down the street at the Daiso store and suddenly want Mexican food for lunch.

Large portions - great bang for your buck! The quesadilla tasted good. The guy working at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Only comment was the beans and guac were a little cold, but it’s somewhat understandable since I went mid afternoon and the food was probably leftover from lunch hours.

This place is garbage since the original owner sold it recently. The new owner raised the price and their burrito size has became smaller. Customer service have bad attitude. I used to go to this place since the first day it was opened back in 1994. Now recently it was my last visit. Will never go there again.

First thing I noticed was an absence of clear prices on the menu. Once rung up, I quickly realized why. The items are not that reasonably priced and the quality is normal, nothing worth choosing it over the thousands of other taco shops in town. The salsa cups were bloated and leaking and I could tell they were not prepared with care and were not fresh. That is a very troubling sign since salsa is essential for the type of food they serve. Quite frankly, you're better off at Harvest across the street even with the mom's attitude over there.
