Yummo! Had the bbq pulled pork tater tots. Can you say dang! It had the bbq pork, coleslaw, tater tots, a couple of onion rings on top with a white sauce and bbq sauce drizzled. It was very good! My hubby had the pastrami tots and one of the boys bbq pulled pork and Mac and cheese. We had bought one more but it didn’t get eaten. 2 1/2 people can eat off of one. Left overs tomorrow—-philly cheese steak tots
Funky Fries & Burgers is the Best. If I could I would give it 10 stars... Last night was my 1st visit on a date with my husband & had the best Cheese Burger I have ever had. Also, my husband Duane had the hot dog & we shared some of the best fries & M&C too. Huge portions, Amazing food & the staff are fabulous too making this now my best restaurant in El Cajon. Give it a try you will be hooked to. Yummy food & great sweet treats too..
Known for the mac and cheese patty on their burgers! Everything we ordered (burgers, hot dogs, and milkshakes) was great. They have a large outdoor covered patio and plenty of free parking.
The food was excellent, and the service was fast. There are kiosks set up front. They have better descriptions and pictures of the food. The fountain drink machine has some very different sodas (pineapple cream soda, lemon berry acai) but super tasty. Prices of burgers do not include fries or drink.
This is one of my favorite spots when I want to indulge a little. You can have traditional fries, waffle fries or tots and the toppings selections are all quite delicious. My personal favorite is the pulled pork fries. A generous bed of fries, perfectly crisp and not at all greasy, topped with pulled pork, bbq sauce, ranch, and topped with a few onion rings. It might sound crazy but trust me when I tell you, it's worth every calorie and penny. There's gyro fries, buffalo chicken, and so many others. They also have burgers, and my son in law tells me they're just as tasty as the fries, but I'll be honest and tell you I've never ordered one because the fries are what I'm there for. In addition, they have Mac and cheese, which you can add to the fries or the burgers. They also have monster shakes and regular shakes, made fresh with real ice cream, and they're a refreshing and tasty treat trip finish off your meal if you're so inclined.
Presentation and Taste on the Funky Shake 10/10! I loved it! 😍 The fries were also amazing. The burger presentation doesn't do it justice but it was also flavorful and delicious. I will definitly come back to try their other shakes and fries.
Food was delicious, my husband really liked the jalapeño poppers. We took our niece here for a little birthday lunch & I had no idea how massive the shakes are, definitely not complaining just saying each shake can literally be shared between 3-4 ppl . The onion rings were just right, huge and nice crunchy bite. It was pretty empty when we went and service was cool. We did our orders on the kiosk that they have up in the front and it was pretty simple. A bit pricey ,but yeah I would say to check them out. I had the Mac and cheese cheese burger and that can definitely be shared between two ppl easily! A returning customer for sure.
Showed up close to closing. Staff was friendly and advised of limited availability of dining facilities. Food was good and variety of loaded fries matched variety of burgers. Shakes turned out great, too.
Great place for the whole family if you want Burgers. The menu is wide, I had the pulled pork, out of bounds!! Customer service was good, took a bit for food to come out but work the wait. The highlight ...Strawberry shake
It was good. Definitely get your money's worth just need to jave a different selection of soda. They had Pepsi in a bottle and Dr. Pepper at the fountain machine but different type of soda at the fountain and didn't see any diet.
The food was delicious! The only reason I gave 4 stars: a staff member told my daughter she couldn't order Chili Fries (which is a highlighted menu item), & made her purchase the items separately (pay for a full chili & full fries separately).
Funky fries number 3 did not disappoint! The food consistently taste fantastic in all three restaurants and finally they built one big enough to accommodate probably over a hundred and fifty people!
There's plenty of parking at Plaza Bonita and there's also and your system here where the food comes out and seven or eight minutes which is highly appreciated when you come here super hungry. Enter I ordered the pastrami Burger with tater tot fries it was large enough to share with my brother and I'm leaving 100% satisfied and full! Everyone in Chula Vista needs to give this place a try and Funk your diet for at least one day
