Fantastic ramen. So tasty, rich broth, delicious ingredients, and big noodle taste.
Also ordered the Russian roulette octopus balls for an appetizer. One of the balls is stuffed with wasabi, the others are not. The filled one is discovered only by trying them. You’ll know when you bite into it lol.
Clean restaurant, friendly service.
I’ll definitely be returning with my whole crew 🦜 Yar!!!
First time eating at this Ramen place, and I gotta say, the food was Delicious!! The ramen had tons of flavor and they were perfectly made, they were not over crowded with toppings. Even the kids menu was awesome, it comes with ramen, chicken tenders, fries, and a creamy drink. The only downside was the cleanliness of the restaurant near the bathroom section. While waiting in line to use the restroom, that whole section is filthy, the walls are extremely dirty, like if they have not been cleaned in years, including the floor.
This was my first introduction to San Diego ramen and boy was I NOT disappointed. They have a special for a large kakuni ramen and I could not pass that up.
Their tonkatsu broth is hands down my favorite (even over menya ultra); it's rich and fatty and you can taste the bone marrow thoroughly which made it slightly sweet on the backend.
The kakuni was tender and soft and a perfect compliment to their broth, and oh boy they give you a *mammoth* portion! My partner got the chashu bowl and the chashu was perfectly soft and fatty as well! Noodles were okay, I couldn't choose their firmness but I honestly did not ask if you can-- worth a try!
They accommodated my request to change the spice level and gave me what appeared to be home made or fresh spice paste which was perfect in the end.
Overall, an incredibly satisfying bowl, I will be dreaming about it for months. 💖
The restaurant has a decent number of tables. Parking is alright during weekdays. The ramen noodles in general are good (broth, noodles) but very little pork meat. Food portion is good. My only complaint is we waited too long (30 min from the time we ordered) for 4 bowls of ramen noodles and also the automatic 15% gratuity on top of each bill.
Kat was awesome and food is always very good. Ramen comes out hot, delicious, and quick! Pro tip…get the Big Kalani Ramen 😉
Been going to this location for years. Literally the best Ramen in California I have tried. Been to places from Northern California to LA and Inland Empire to Palm Springs area and non compare to Nishiki.
I always get the number 2 and get their homemade hot sauce🔥 but on the side and add to taste! Chashu (Pork belly) is tender. Slow egg is a must. Service is always quick to even when it’s packed in there.
We were a large party walk-in and the staff were INCREDIBLY accommodating and kind to us throughout our dinner. Our server, Alex, especially treated us with the best service ever and so respectable through and through.
We just want to thank the servers to the hosts to the kitchen staff for their time and patience with us. Each and every one of them are incredible and deserve a raise for their Michelin star service!
The Nishiki Ramen bowl was very creamy. The egg was really good. The noodles were fine. Not the best ramen bowl I've had here but good. A bit on the more expensive side though.
Food was delicious! Best spicy pork ramen I have had since living in Japan. Most places I have tried in the US have excessively slimy noodles and mild to no flavor in their broth. If you like spicy ramen that's not going to kill you but taste delicious this is the place. I will say the actual pork and the gyoza where good but nothing to write home about. But very good if you are not as picky as I am. See pictures for the food and oolang tea.
I liked this place but not quite a 5 star. Ramen was good. I liked the vibe of some semi-loud and upbeat music. The House Sake is something to stay away from but Ramen and Chicken Appetizer were good. Will be back but try other places first.
