I stopped in here while exploring the Gaslamp District and I'm so glad I did! Absolutely delicious food. Different than your typical taqueria, specializing mostly in seafood tacos. They even brought out a fish soup to sample.
I had a Smoked Fish taco and a Shrimp and Avacado taco. I may go back to try a different selection before I leave San Diego!
Oscar’s is the only restaurant I’ve eaten at that has better fish tacos than the ones I grill at home. The original battered fish and grilled octopus tacos were delicious, but for me the taco especial with smoked fish, shrimp and scallops stole the show! I haven’t been everywhere yet, but thus far, Oscar’s has the best fish tacos in San Diego.
I was headed to the Padres game and took a chance. Tacos are about $5 each. The tacos were fresh and tasty with a good helping of avocado. The place is clean and close to the ballpark. I would return. They also have free water and I appreciate that.
Went here twice during my visit to San Diego. The fish taco especiale is worth the extra dollars. It was delicious! The ceviche is also a great option. They were out of regular battered fish tacos when I went because they have a happy hour $1 taco option Monday to Thursday. Definitely would recommend to anyone!
I've been here twice now. The pictures are from the first time when I ordered the 'surf and turf' tacos and it was really really good. Tonight I was out for a walk in the area and they had battered fish taco specials for dirt cheap and it was still great for what you pay. The lady at the front was fun to talk to and a good sport. This will be my "go to" for tacos in the downtown area anytime I'm in San Diego!
So good!!!! I got the fish tacos and the fish burrito or surf and turf. Lol I am not sure it was delish!!. The worker Irving was amazing and totally hooked us up with fish soup and tortas.. the price was great and he suggested the taco especial it was so good!.. (I just checked with him lol) but we turned it into a burrito. Super family friendly they even have an outdoor patio super cute and dog bowl to welcome your dogs.
Very tasty fish tacos!! Service friendly and quick and the tacos were great. Fast food joint for a quick fresh bite. I'd come back.
Surf and turf tacos are some of the best. I've ever had. Be sure to try all of the sauces they have with the tacos. I've been to this location once, but the La Jolla location is one of the best taquerias I've been to.
Two little girls at the register kindly answered my questions and took the order. The food was really nice. I especially liked the soup if the day, a bit spicy one with fish. Highly recommend!
