Lefty's Chicago Pizzeria

First time at this location we usually go to the north park location. This location is way bigger, there’s an inside and outside patio to sit. It’s decorated beautifully and they even have corn hole outside. I love the way they did a “toddler cut” on my son’s pizza I’ve never seen that but a very nice touch I appreciate! My husband is from Chicago and this is his favorite SD spot from all the others. He says the other restaurants have zero chance compared to Lefty’s!!!!!

Haven't been to Lefty's in a while and was craving some deep dish pizza on a Saturday for dinner. There were a couple of vegetarian choices for deep dish and I sprung for the mushroom deep dish and a Midway thin crust - single slice option. Was very tasty and reminded me of the deep dish I had in Chicago. I was told that Monday is a good day to visit for the new specials. There was a lot of seating indoors and there was AC which felt great for a warm day.

We've been coming here for over 11 years. Their food is delicious and most recently, they had a fun band with live music in the back. Our kiddos loved dancing and inhaling hot, yummy pizza. The owner treats us like family, but I'm certain thousands of customers would feel the same. Our go-to is the Monsters of Midway with a chopped chicken salad.

We finally got the opportunity to check this place. The pizza is great, you can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the quality. All food is tasty. The appetizers do need a little help as you will see in the pics. Food is great but they need to improve on the customer service… the staff is over relaxed, this is still a business an some level of professionalism has to be present. Don’t get me wrong they were not rude just very very relaxed. You will enjoy your lunch or dinner. Like always you have the last word.

First of all, the customer service was excellent! The draft beer was exceptional, and the food was awesome. It's definitely some of the best pizza I have ever tasted. I wish I could remember names, but the owner brought us some Mexican beer from her place next door, and it was terrific. The initial young man who took our order was very professional and customer service oriented. Overall a GREAT experience in San Diego here at Leftys!

I love Lefty’s Pizza for Chicago Style deep dish and stuffed pizzas. Went for lunch today and had a couple of slices of deep pepperoni and a soda for an economical price. They also have a slice, salad and drink lunch special. Been coming to this location for years and have ordered mainly pizzas but occasionally also have ordered appetizers. Their artichoke spinach bread is amazing (and it’s veggies so it must be good for you, right?!?) Their stuffed pizza takes much longer to bake but I love the sauce on that pie. Typically you cannot eat more than one or two slices of that so we normally only order stuffed if in a group of people. Ordering a whole pie always seems to taste better than the pizza by the slice for some reason but it could just be my imagination. :) They are decorated with all things Chicago inside and have the typical wood seating you would see in a typical authentic Chicago pizzeria. They also have an outdoor seating area. Service is always friendly and efficient. You place your order at the register and they have food runners bring your food out to you. Parking can be a little challenging at times but there is a paid public lot down the street and paid meter street parking as well in the area.
