I always wanted to try greek food, coming to San Diego from Toronto for a visit, so, I went to this restaurant with my husband and our daughter. It was super yummy food. Mary the owner and all the employees are sooo friendly and nice. Very authentic place with family atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice homemade Greek food. It's incredible. It was a very pleasant experience ☺️.

This is such a special place. I've probably been 8 times and every time I leave, I think why don't I come more often. The food is amazing, the portions are immense, the space is charming, staff is attentive and friendly and have been there forever. Owner is often there working herself.
If you like octopus, do the octopus appetizer. It's the best I've had in the US.

Our dinner last night was excellent. I had to leave a review - the lamb and pastitsio were both excellent (and my wife is crazy picky about her lamb and likes it rare rare rare.
The place has a nice comfortable feels to it, our server Sarah was great and the owner Mary stopped by to thank us for coming.
We felt like regulars which we now will be given the great food, service and very reasonable prices for the quality of the experience.
You have to try the saganaki ... its is delicious, crisp and hot and creamy and delicious (like Lays potato chips - you can't eat just one, fortunately you get 5 or 6)!

This is the restaurant we got hooked on Greek food. The owner is very nice and has had the chef love over 50 years. The staff is super kind. Get ready to be amazed!

The service staff was extremely friendly. I felt like family in the short time we were invited in for shots as we waited for our to go order. The gyro sandwiches were delicious. 10/10 recommend if you want amazing food and an awesome dining experience.

The taverna was such a great time. The menu had everything you wanted for Greek food and it was all amazing. From the Saganaki to the soup avgolemeno to the Athens market special. The food wasn’t the best part, the best part was owner Mary Pappas. What a lovely person and such a treat to talk to and laugh with.

Great food! Beautifully tender octopus, delicate moussaka, nicely flavored pork souvlaki, and exceptional dolmanthes. We showed up on a live music night with no reservation. Nevertheless the friendly staff found us a table. The owner came by to make sure we were ok. So much hospitality! And did I mention the delicious food?
