Cool place to visit in Downtown San Diego (near Little Italy) for Mexican Food.
They have a very big menu, a full bar, helpful servers and quick service.
Their menu has a clearly marked vegetarian section and most things can be made vegetarian by taking the meat off and/ or replacing the meat with something else.
The vegetarian food options I think are good, not great. The portion sizes are alright for the size. We ordered the Hot Cheetos Fries, Nachos Gordos & Crispy Avocado Tacos.
The birria tacos were good. Cocktails are great. Not too fond of the rice & beans - some of the rice was a little undercooked and hard. Awesome overall vibe. Would recommend. And open on Christmas Eve! Which was an added bonus.
We were a big group but the employees/servers here were very accommodating. Drinks were good, not the best, and the food was also OK. I think people come.here for the atmosphere and how chill it is. Vibe is good. Sushi roll was a bit fishy for my taste. Otherwise, I recommend the porkbelly&Octopus.
Had a wonderful experience thanks to Luis and the rest of the staff. I made a last minute reservation the night of online and they were able to accommodate. They even brought out another heater for us. Luis was very knowledgeable with the menu and provided great recommendations. He was attentive but not overbearing. The food was fresh, delicious and came out super fast. Highly recommend the poke nachos and the birra tacos (not pictured). Staff quickly removed dishes and Luis brought the bill promptly. Will definitely be back to try out more of the expansive menu.
Decent spot to sit down, hang and eat tapas and taqueria style fare.
Huge selection of tequila, mescal, and mixed drinks. Vibe is pretty upbeat and trendy. A bit loud upstairs like nightclub vibe. Hostess seated us upstairs with two kids...deliberate maybe?
At any rate, food was on par and average. We ordered the wet burrito with pork belly, poke nachos, and some steak tacos.
This place is definitely priced high for the type of offerings and the menu is outrageously long and quite repetitive.
Overall, good experience, but one of those places I would try once and that's about it.
Such a good environment. You can request drinks without alcohol which is awesome. Service is good and food is delicious. I'd recommend going during the week when it's not crazy busy and the waiting lines are decent.
At first I was sketchy about the food since it’s mexijapaneae food and it was odd but I went for it and ordered chilaquiles and it was delicious. I really can’t find good places to eat Mexican food and it might sounds crazy but not everyone can make chilaquiles very tasty and was out the this world taste. 😋😋😋
Stopped by for lunch. The food and service was really good. Parking in that area was tuff so expect to walk a little not unless our lucky and park close. They also have great drinks that my wife and family enjoyed. The tacos, nachos, surf and turf burrito are all excellent! Would recommend. Enjoy!! If this review helps put a 👍🏼
This place is as much a bar as a restaurant. Lots of choices for alcohol and a young and hip staff. Beautiful and artsy decor. Some really nice outdoor seating. I sat at the bar and asked for iced tea. The server brought me the tea and set it down. Then he turned and said "you wanted alcohol in there right?" I said no I just wanted tea and he said they did not have tea with no alcohol. If you want a non-alcoholic drink make sure to specify. I ordered the wet burrito. It showed up really fast. The plate burned my fingers when I touched it. Then I bit into the burrito itself and it was warm but not hot. Not cold but nowhere near as hot as the plate. That was odd. The burrito was excellent though. I would eat it again but I doubt that I will return as the bar vibe is not for me when I eat out.
The place pops with art on every inch of space, mostly hand painted or colorful stickers. Amazing music and live vibe w friendly staff and patrons- Charlie, our server, was a great server. The food was delicious and flavorful, and although the drinks were yum, they could've been a touch stronger.
