I’m a huge fan of Cafe 21! From their unique brunch dishes to their flavor-packed tapas and relaxing patio, this place is a local gem. I’ve had their chicken curry cakes for brunch and they’re amazing. Super creative. I’ve also enjoyed the Bread pudding and love the short rib potato cake during brunch. Great for a friend hangout, fun lunch with colleagues or brunch date!
Went to a Tapas Restaurant yesterday! (No! Not Topless!!...Tapas!! LOL! ���). I can splurge occasionally while taking Pure Therapeutic Ketones!Had so much fun! The Sangria was off the charts! Shared Avocado French Fries (OMG! Mouth orgasms!), Ahi Poke, Brussel Sprouts, Gourmet Mac-N-Cheese, and Bread Pudding! Omg! When you come here we have to go! On my list of top three favs here! Hannah and the entire service team was fantastic!! What a hidden gem!! To Live For!
Cafe 21 is a gem if you're into delicious vegan options. The food is not only tasty but also comes with a side of great service. Omg, the best brunch spot I've been to in a while! The place is beautiful. Loved the decor.
The service was great. The gentleman helping us suggested I try the pesto sandwich and wow! The freshness and the flavor were out of this world. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also had some fresh fruit on the side. I ordered the Mimosa flight and I have to say it's a must. The flavors are unique and tasty.
Whenever I'm in San Diego again, I will make sure I go back for that sandwich and Mimosa flight. 10/10 😙🤌🏻
I absolutely ADORE this place. My now husband and I had our first date here (we had both been previously and agreed on it because we loved the spot). We decided to have our wedding reception with them and we could not have been happier with everything they did for us to make it as special as they possibly could. The decor was absolutely stunning, the food was amazing and the service was ABOVE and BEYOND. We received so many compliments on our food selections, big shout out to Layla. Emran did an amazing job assisting and coordinating and again I cannot emphasize this enough - the service was absolutely amazing. I could go on and on about our love for this place all day. Thank you, Cafe 21 for everything. 🫶
I love Cafe 21. I had previously been to the downtown location but now I live in walking distance of this location. The grilled cheese bloody mary is my favorite, it's a whole meal. I also always get the galaxy which is butterfly pea flower tea, violet syrup and lemon. So good. I like the small plates to share as well, the tomato and egg is delicious. The outside patio is really nice as well.
Best brunch I’ve had in forever. Jason was wonderful! The food was so freaking good. Especially the shrimp cake egg Benny thing. So freaking good.
Iced vanilla latte also slapped. Would 10000000% come back here just for the atmosphere and for Jason.
Cafe 21 is a gem! Clifton served us in the bar area. The restaurant was beautiful and service was top notch. My daughter and I enjoyed the French toast and Tomato Egg Dish. I had the espresso martini too, which was heavenly! The floral notes were my favorite part!

Happened to be our breakfast spot for the last day of our trip to San Diego. We took a Lyft to the cafe. The parking lot didn't look that full though it belonged to the Liquor store next door and in case you would want to park to grab a bite, it'd have to be on the street.
Got in and were seated close to the entrance and we requested for an inside seating and while we were moving to the table inside we grabbed seats at the bar (definitely recommend that!!!). Settled down and placed orders where we got intrigued with the tea and coffee selection that they had to offer. We ordered Peas of Mind and Trained Dragon respectively and they turned out to be so smooth and perfect even though they were Espresso at the heart of it.
Followed that up with an order of the Blueberry Dutch Pancake ,along with Feta Omelette and a Strawberry Crepe. Each of these tasted so fresh and very organic at heart. We were told by Patrick who was tending the bar about how all the ingredients are sourced from the best possible and the end result definitely showed that.
The Pancake had just the right amount of everything in it and tasted perfect. We did top it with some maple syrup though it would have been just fine without that as well. The omelette came with the sourdough bread and tasted that damn good. Being mesmerized with what we had already finished, we ended up ordering a Toast and Butter (side) and another Pancake (Banana Dutch, this time though) and these too were gone in no time.
All this while we stuck some great conversations with Patrick that ranged from bar tending to mma to life skills and a plethora of more such. One of the best couple of hours spent while eating. The staff in general was amazing , very friendly and did make sure that we had a great time at the Cafe.
Once again a big shoutout to Patrick and the entire team that make it happen day in and day out at the Cafe 21.

I don’t drink coffee and on a hot summer morning I like good iced tea. Fresh. Cafe 21’s English Breakfast tea with the service style of brewed at your table and iced by each serving is awesome and keeps the flavor.
The fare varies from full on meal to something light. I went with the potato galette (vegan), it was exactly right both in preparation of the potato and the accompanying hot sauce.
The staff and especially the chef went above and beyond by making a custom substitute item for the overnight oats which had run out. Awesome.
What a great little spot. Very nice vibe, fantastic service and amazing dishes. We had our 4 year old son with us and our server did such a great job ensuring he was being taken care of. The BEET CURED SALMON SPINACH + ZUCCHINI SAVORY CAKE was fantastic! Even my son loved the salmon. Vegan French Toast was very yummy. Oat milk lattes were really great. Highly recommend you give it a try.
Cafe 21 is one of my favorite brunch places. Their food is so amazingly delicious and you can't go wrong with any item. I got there short rib crepe cake and it was one of the best things I've ever had! Seriously so good! Plus their mojito flight is fantastic! All awesome flavors. And last (but certainly not least), the staff is wonderful! I've been here multiple times and everyone is always so kind, quick and helpful!
