Alan's knowledge and experience made for an amazing evening. The whole staff up stairs was attentive to all the guest needs. Delicious food, generous portions and outstanding drink service. Chloe the manger was fun and festive.

This is one of the best prime seafood restaurants in San Diego and for good reason. With their “business casual” required attire, the atmosphere is high class. While this is touted as being well known for seafood, they’re also are known for their steaks. I have attached a copy of the menu as of Saturday, December 16, 2023. All of the dishes were spot on. All met expectations. We had the shrimp cocktail (you get 4 prawns), the steak tartar (made table side), the lobster bisque (generous portion of lobster), scallops from George’s bank (5 scallops - generous size), filet 10oz (cooked exactly as requested, no asking for medium rare to get medium as you really wanted. Also no sauce option available on menu), lobster mashed potatoes, and asparagus. We went at 6pm and had a reservation. However, the restaurant was not full at all. Not even half. It did pick up at 7pm. Reservations were still highly suggested and can be booked on OpenTable app. We highly recommend Eddie V’s for any celebration. Do note, if you are celebrating an important occasion, they were giving out free champagne. Something to think about.

I had a desire to savor some seafood in San Diego, so I decided to visit based on the positive Google reviews. For my dinner, I indulged in for pieces of jumbo Gulf shrimp, accompanied by a freshly made strawberry lemonade. I was so impressed that I shared my experience with my colleagues, and we returned the following day for dinner. This time, I ordered the salmon, which I found to be worth every penny. My colleagues opted for the crab fried rice, which was incredibly delicious. In general, I was pleased with both the food and the cool atmosphere of the restaurant. The waitstaff there certainly employ persuasive marketing tactics to encourage diners to try more dishes. I'm eager to visit one of their branches again in the future.

Service, food as well as atmosphere are really excellent. Place looks beautiful, food is really delicious and live music was great addition. Wide wine selection. We were celebrating weeding anniversary and it was great choice to do it at Eddie V's. We felt taken care of and special. Eddie V's really made that day memorable for us. For our starters, we ordered the chilled jumbo shrimp cocktail and the warm mushroom goat cheese salad. The shrimp cocktail was served with a delicious cocktail sauce, and the shrimp were fresh and perfectly cooked. The warm mushroom goat cheese salad was a delicious and satisfying appetizer. The mushrooms were perfectly sautéed, and the goat cheese was creamy and flavorful. For our main courses, I ordered the Chilean sea bass and my husband ordered the filet mignon. The Chilean sea bass was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was flaky and moist, and the flavor was mild and delicate. The filet mignon was also cooked to perfection. It was juicy and flavorful, and it melted in your mouth. We also ordered a few sides to share, including the asparagus and spinach, and the mashed potatoes. The asparagus and spinach were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. For dessert, we shared the bananas foster. This classic dessert is made with bananas, sugar, butter, and rum. The bananas are flambéed at the table, and the dessert is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The bananas foster was absolutely delicious. The bananas were caramelized to perfection, and the rum sauce was rich and flavorful. Overall, I was very impressed with Eddie V's Prime Seafood. Wonderful dinner for our Anniversary, was greeted with rose petals and champagne at our table. Everything was great start to finish, Robert our server made sure we had a wonderful evening. Live music in the bar really set the mood very relaxing. Highly recommend this place for any special occasion or if you can afford it more often.

This place was recommended to me by my nephew, and it was really worth visiting. We make a reservation just in case, although you don't need one. We started with a dozen oysters on ice. (They gave us three different tipes) They were fresh and tasty. Then I shared with my wife a 22-ounce USDA prime bone-in rebeye, and honestly, it was delicious. We also ordered mashed potatoes with lobster... wow (you need to taste it). At the end we ordered "creme brulee" for our dessert. (It tastes good too) The waiter took great care of us and explained everything about the menu. Very good experience.

When my wife said she wanted seafood from Eddie Vs for our anniversary dinner I knew we were going to have a good time. Everything from the reservations to the impeccable table service was amazing. We ate several dishes such as the oysters, surf and turf with lobster tail, along with dessert and a few drinks sprinkled here and there. Overall I highly recommend this location for the quality food and service. Ask the waiter about the dish of the day or any current specials.

Excellent choice for our Christmas Eve birthday dinner! Large restaurant that is separated into more intimate rooms for an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere. Our server was knowledgeable and very friendly, spending time answering our questions and engaging in conversation. Every dish was delicious, starting with the best crab cake! So fresh and large enough for 3 of us to share. The lobster mashed potatoes had large pieces of lobster, and the Brussel sprouts were crispy and very flavorful. All of our main dishes were excellent, from the scallops to the rib eye with the best blue cheese crust! Ended the evening with a birthday desert of bananas foster. It melted in your mouth. Highly recommend! Our only complaint was having to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time. The wait ended up being worth it!
