The atmosphere is really relaxed but fun. My food and margarita were great, and my server Heather was really friendly too. Food seems a little expensive but if you go during one of their happy hours, it's more reasonable. Definitely recommend.

Well this is the last restaurant we tried for this trip and it didn’t disappoint. We made it for Happy Hour and they had great prices on both margaritas and street tacos. The waiter was super helpful and great. The food was excellent. We will return.

Came here after a nice walk at the farmers market. I had such a wonderful experience!! Fantastic tacos. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Dog-loving customers. Why would I want to be anywhere else? We happened upon Baja Betty’s while on vacation. My husband and I loved the atmosphere, appetizers and the servers so much that we made sure we visited once more before we left. Wish there was a Baja Betty’s in Florida! Thank you, Andy (1st visit) and thank you David (2nd visit) !

Found this place by searching for Mexican food near me. We were greeted before even stepping in. It's such a fun, welcoming atmosphere, and I noticed that all the employees worked together as a team helping each other out and thought that was pretty cool. The food and drinks were sooooo good, not a single complaint. The price was decent as well. I can honestly say I have absolutely nothing but good to say about this place!! We will be back next time we're in town. Thank you all you Bettys!

After a delightful stroll at the farmers market, I decided to visit this place, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience! The tacos were fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and the staff was friendly. I also noticed that the customers were dog lovers, adding to the welcoming vibe. Why would I want to be anywhere else? We put off a visit to this popular spot for a long time because of the noise coming from inside--and even from the patio--as we walked past. When we finally tried it for dinner, we found the noise deafening (both music and conversation), as expected. (The patio is a little less noisy than inside.) The service was very friendly and fast. Sadly, the food was mediocre. Being so close to the border, San Diego should offer countless opportunities for excellent Mexican food, but this isn't true, in our experience. Standards and expectations seem to be higher in Phoenix and New Mexico (Santa Fe, Albuquerque) than in San Diego. At Baja Betty's, the food is average American-Mexican fare, at best.

If I could rate this restaurant higher than the 5, I would do that. We were directed to the restaurant by a local person in San Diego and the restaurant turned out to be a great find. The food choice is wide and was absolutely delicious. The ambience was great.

Super fun place and super good food! Drinks are great, service is awesome! We tried the bacon wrapped jalapeños and they were cooked perfectly. Queso is yummy, guacamole is even better. Now for the food, the long and skinny burrito is as big as a mans forearm no joke. Share it with two people!<br/>I had a burrito bowl and it was amazing!

B is for Betty's and their Bionic Express Lunch!. Baja Betty's express lunch is bionic! I love me some Courtney, Myra and crew!! I'm all about the soft taco (hold the taco) with black beans and rice. Their express lunch which only costs like $7 includes a nice salad, chips and salsa. Chris is always our rockin server. We always order the carnitas, enough to split. Tasty Mexican beers and fun, loud, party atmosphere. Even though line can be long they get you in quick. Great place for a laughter filled party or happy hour.

Hmmmm. If it's a good pointer of the food to come that the salsa is served with wilted corriander and NO seasoning then we are in trouble. And we were. We ordered the sampler platter and the only thing that was even hot was cheese sauce... The food was brought out nice and quick. Quick enough to be flash fried and not cooked throug. I know it's a fast-ish razzle dazzle place for cocktails but if your going to serve food at least take a sec to serve it hot. Won't be back.

A party on a plate at Lunch time!. If you're ever in the area during the lunch hour, Baja Betty's has a fantastically priced happy hour delectable menu. The prices are phenomenal and in today's economy, we need more of that! 3 overly stuffed soft shell tacos with all the fixings, guacamole and sour cream and an never ending flow of ice tea for $6 including the gratuity! As someone who eats out almost every meal (work demands a heavy travel schedule) and has been to a great many restaurants, this one is a true value for the money!
