Che's Chicken & Burgers

Delicious food, Great Service & Great prices! I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a teenager. Now, I come with a family of my own. I definitely recommend the Lemon Pepper Chicken Gizzards with Gravy, Fried Chicken, Jalapeño Poppers & Burgers! Plus they sell Cajun Chef Hot Sauce (since we can't find it at our local grocery stores anymore.) Overall great place.

Y'all...fried chicken so good it'll make you go home and slap ya mama. And I did. Then she slapped me back for not bringing her Che's fried chicken sooner.* And she's from Bama so SHE KNOWS GOOD FRIED CHICKEN. So juicy and tender with crispy skin. Basically what Church's Chicken WISHES it could be but they don't put the heart and soul into it like Che's does. This is the essence of a neighborhood mom & pop old school takeaway slow food. You can tell that the people that with here are like a family and you can taste it in the food. Rock on. * Nobody was actually slapped but you get the point.

Fried chicken was amazing, burgers were cooked really well, fries were fresh, and the fact they give you hot peppers with your meal makes me wanna go back today. Probably one of the best fast food chicken experiences I've ever had, did I mention the price is perfect. Whatever you all are doing at Che's keep doing it.

Remember when Church's fried chicken was actually still good and served huge pieces of chicken? Well that has been gone for years now, BUT take heart... Che's is alive and well and serving some of largest, tastiest fried chicken in the city! Also a special shout out to their onion rings-The best I've had. This place is no nonsense just good chicken and more at a good prices. They are all take out with a walk up window, just like I remember way back. The staff is cheerful, friendly and helpful. Everything is made to order but did not take long at all. I will definitely be back and will be trying the other menu items besides chicken. An asset to the south side. Give them a try, you won't regret it.
