I normally judge Mexican restaurants by a few things to know if they are good. Tortillas and beans are near the top of the list and both were excellent at Eddie’s Taco House. The tacos are large and the tortillas melt in your mouth. I can’t wait to go there for lunch or dinner so I can judge the enchiladas and rice.
Nice place! Mariaches in the house. Fajita plate was delicious. I will definitely be back soon.
We dined in Eddie's Taco House a number of years ago. Found it to be a nice Mexican Restaurant. However, we lived in another area of San Antonio and have not returned until today. Now live on the same road, only a few blocks from this restaurant. Ordered two carryout plates to go: Beef Enchiladas & Beef Fajtas. Receptionist was accommodating after a waitress took my order, printed a receipt & delivered to me in a reasonable wait time. My wife who usually has problems with solid foods raved how good the enchiladas were. Sure we will return many other days to pickup food here.

Made my way over Eddie's Taco House this week. This plate had 2 enchiladas, a tamale, a taco, and rice and beans for $11.39. I took a picture of the taco alone to show just how full it was. That's a great deal, and it tasted really good! They also had 2 for $1.99 bean and cheese tacos, which I ordered to go for my girls. I definitely recommend and will be returning 😋.
I've been to Eddie's Taco House several times already and I have to say it's totally delicious legit Tex-Mex food. The enchiladas, breakfast tacos, and huevos rancheros certainly do not disappoint. My favorite is the Tuesday evening special which are the short ribs that are out of this world good. Eddie's tortillas are some of the best in town so you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere is nice and the service is always on point. The manager is always checking with customers to make sure they are content with their meals which I truly appreciate. Highly recommended!!

Been back 3 more times, to get the Thursday Throwback Special. You cant beat the $5.99 deal. I've ordered 3 plates to go one day, ate 1 at the restaurant for lunch 1 day, and one for dinner most recently. My dinner visit I was also given tortilla chips and salsa, and that combined with the plate was more food than I could eat for just $6. Absolutely amazing for the price. Service has been good on every visit, even when it was super busy at dinner time.
$5.99 2 enchiladas, rice, beans, small steak, tortillas, & drink. (Thurs Only)
If you haven't tried the Throwback Special, you have to stop by on a Thursday, this might be the best deal in town.

Tried Eddies for the first time. Had heard lots of good things about it. For my first time I ordered the Mexican plate.
My enchiladas were good, some of the better ones I've had, but a bit lacking flavor wise. Id put them in the top 10 locally, but probably nearer to #10.. The charro beans were good, the tamale was below average and the crispy taco was decent.
Prices were decent, portions were good, but with no shortage of Mexican places It didn't stand out on any of the items I had.
I went between lunch and dinner on a weekend and there weren't many specials. I would probably return during the week for one of the specials, like the enchiladas and steak.
Food taste is home made, great red rice, portions are just right and staff is very helpful.
I had Mini tacos, comes with six and Charo beans...got two two and two asada fajita and pastor. All the tacos and the beans were very good... My wife had the ethan plate with two cheese enchilada and a Puffy taco with beef, which was flaky and delicious, She also got a Verde enchilada with chicken on the side for us to share.... It was good also. We also tried a Carne guisada w cheese which is my Mexican food barometer... It was tender with quality cuts of meat, but a little salty if I had to find something to complain about. All in all the food and service were good and we will definitely be back. BTW The reason we tried this place was because our neighbor gave us a half dozen chicken tamales from here which were much bigger than most tamales I've seen and we're very tasty.
This place is outstanding!!! Amazing food, amazing prices and super friendly staff! They also have one of the best happy hours and deals I've ever seen! Special thanks to our server Evette went above and beyond to make sure we were welcome! She had so much personality and made it feel like she was family feeding us! I will definitely be back!
One of the most reasonable Mexican food in town! My husband used to come here with his grandparents.
Their weekday specials are really good.
We had two beef enchiladas plates which came with tea. And it was only $13 for two plates.😳
And of course it was tasty 🌮
We enjoyed our time very much there.
I don’t throw around words like best often, just check my reviews lol. But these folks have the Best mini tacos in the city and it’s not even close. Wife thinks the same and our tastes are usually different. Kudos
This place has delicious breakfast, especially the baracoa plate! Their homemade tortillas are very delicious! We are from Corpus Christi, visiting my brother-in-law and his wife. I just wished that this restaurant was in Corpus Christi! It's sad and very surprised that this restaurant and others like this are closed on Sunday's!
