I love finding little hidden gems like this one. Everything was great! I had the Holiday tamale special. 3 tamales (1 red, 1 green, 1 rajas c/queso) smothered in a cream sauce. Finally, some San Antonio tamales that I actually like! Out server, Rocio, did a wonderful job letting us know about the seasonal plates and made some excellent recommendations. Thank you, Rocio!

Mama's kitchen was amazing, small place but great food and attentive service all around. Went in on a Saturday morning and had the Chicharrón Ranchero plate. It came with homemade tortillas, beans and potatoes, felt just like being at my mom's house. My wife enjoyed the chilaquiles with eggs so we will definitely be back. To clarify, this place is very authentically and traditionally Mexican, no Tex-Mex here.

HOMEMADE, AUTHENTIC MADE FROM SCRATCH! The Menudo and the chilaquiles rojos are a must and there are many more menu items to try. Homemade corn and flour tortillas that are deliciously warm and soft. The service is incredible, the staff is constantly checking on you. The place is nice and cozy. San Antonio has a hidden jewel in this place if you truly want authentic food this is the place, just like home!

So happy to have randomly came in because it has become the go-to place for inexpensive yet authentic Mexican dishes in the area. Personal favorites are- the enfrijoladas (bean enchiladas), taco de hígado encebollado (liver and onions taco), and the chilaquil tejano taco (kind of like a migas taco). The server who's always there is an incredibly friendly guy who has such warmth to him, he makes you feel at home. Prices are reasonable and the interior is cute and simple. It's easy to try new things every time! Fan for life.

If you’re looking for the best Menudo & Barbacoa in San Antonio this is it . The menudos very clean with great flavor , they give you the option for pata or no pata , the hominy its cooked from scratch , the corn tortillas are hand made and the Barbacoas Amazing, the customer service was great they’re very professional 100%real Mexican food .

My husband and I were looking for the best menudo in town and let me tell ya, this is it!!!!! The freshest ingredients, powerful flavor that will have your tastebuds dancing. I swear the hominy in the menudo is not from a can and these corn tortillas are not made from the maseca brand, I feel like they made it as our ancestors did. We have our hearts happy along with satisfied stomachs! This has definitely become our to go spot ♡
