Small family owned restaurant delivers BIG portions and food full of flavor. What I love about this place is that there are so many items that are unique - family recipes - this is not your average run of the mill San Antonio taco joint. Being from Chicago, I have had my fair share of salsa and guacamole - but let me tell you - this may be the best guacamole I have ever had, and the salsa and chips -- it's really hard to stop eating them. The chips and salsa alone will bring me back --- and the burrito you see below? Wow. That bad boy is GOOOOOOOOD! I look forward to my return, but next time it will be for breakfast tacos which I have heard are amazing.....I"ll just make sure to request chips and salsa with my tacos :)
If you are looking for flavorful, authentic and delicious Mexican food then this is your place. It’s bright, clean and the food is out of this world. I would come here for the tortilla chips alone. Everything is homemade and amazing. The service is wonderful! You feel like family! Try this place out...you won’t be sorry.
This place is a hidden gem and those who are lucky enough to go won't be disappointed. The restaurant is colorful and fun. The food is excellent. I highly recommend the salsa and guacamole, both made in-house with special secret ingredients. The burrito is out of this world and plenty to take home with you because it is so big. The staff is warm, friendly and are more than happy to make suggestions if you don't know what to order. My husband and I are going to be regulars ❤🌶

I can't believe I was the only person in this restaurant! They did process some to go orders while I was there though I went with a soup of meatballs and vegetables as per the suggestion of my server. Awesome! Corn tortillas, awesome!

My wife and I have been coming here since February 2018. We simply love the food, the atmosphere, and the family that owns it. With our first bite we were immediately grabbed by the bold vibrant flavors. This is not TexMex, this is real deal Mexican Cuisine! The family is originally from Guadalajara and have brought the family recipes with them. I have had everything on the menu and never had a bad dish. My favorite is the carne de puerco con chili. I have the plate often and even have it added to other plates because it’s so good.
If you haven’t tried Mamma Chilli, do yourself a favor and stop in for delicious food made by good people. Give it time as everything is prepared fresh. Trust me when I quote Alton Brown—you’re patience will be rewarded!
Fresh, authentic, made with love! I have been a regular since Feb 2018 and have received nothing but amazing food and service. The guacamole is so fresh and flavorful, as are the chips and salsa. Chips are thick and flaky. Chile relleno, gorditas, tacos, burritos are all delicious. I recommend the chorizo or shredded beef guisado. Be prepared to wait about 30 min for your food because it is made to order. Takeout is a good option if you don’t have the time to sit and enjoy there. They are able to acoomodate dietary restrictions and preferences as well. GO!!!
This restaurant is terrific. They make great Chiles rellenos, make a great albondigas soup.
Everything we have tried is always delicious. Super in house corn tortillas and an extremely HOT HOT sauce.
Oh, their red chilaquiles are to die for!

One of the best most authentic Mexican food in all of San Antonio!! I had the best Burito here and the Chilè Relleno is to die for! This restaurant is a true hidden gem in San Antonio! Honeslty best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to! My Family and I enjoyed the amazing food and the atmosphere!
I stumbled upon this cute little restaurant one night and decided to try it. Best decision ever! I was warmly greeted the second that I walked in. My server was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended some great dishes. The food was excellent! Everything tasted super fresh with so much flavor! I highly recommend the rahas con crema and the carne de Puerco con Chile. Try this place out...I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
