Pei Wei, fresh kitchen! Or should I say peas and carrots, bland kitchen? Happened to be here with a bunch of friends on a Friday night, the ambience is fairly Asian with wooden furniture and swanky open kitchen where you can see bursts of fire when they work on their wok kind of fancy stuff if you are pyromaniac or someone who likes fires and stuff. We ordered food, Pad Thai noodles, Kung pao with shrimp, orange chicken and Thai dynamite something like that. Well the food quantity was generous I would say, since small comes in a bowl and regular in a plate, they are generous with their snap peas(which is gross imo) and carrots, as you can see in the photo, food quantity was more than enough for us to takeout the unfinished food for a late night snack. Overall the food is simply good, portions are generous and the ambience is amazing specially for a dinner time setting.
Awesome Pad Thai. If not the best Pad Thai in San Antonio. I know that a lot of people might disagree. And I've tasted plenty of them in SA, but this is very high on my list. It's the only thing that I've order...
Watch the salt!. Every time I eat at Pei Wei I enjoy my meal. I usually get the same thing: vegetable egg rolls, hot and sour soup, and Mongolian beef. I got an email to update my acct info and noticed on their website that they provide nutritional facts. The calorie count was not too bad, but as my eyes rolled over to the sodium column, my jaw dropped. I added up how many mg of sodium are in my favorite meal and it was astounding.... 4730 mg! I am going to think twice before I eat that again. I know that the sodium levels are going to be high, but I did not think it would be the amount I am to consume in 2 days!
Love this place but it should be 2 $. It is pretty expensive. Especially considering it is fast food and not an all you can eat buffet. 2 ppl will easily spend 25$ in here for lunch. Very nice atmosphere though.

Give the Caramel Chicken a try. Only available for a limited time. Good cut of chicken breast with a sweet sauce, pineapple, cilantro, and cool and crunchy julienned carrots, cucumbers, red bell peppers, red onions for a nice contrast. See photo.
Reasonable consistent food. This is definitely not authentic but is yummy food. Love the Pad Thai and salads. Chicken spring rolls are made with vinegar so many people may not like their taste. Mongolian beef is fabulous. You can also substitute different veggies. Huge portions!
I love this place! I go for lunch all the time. The service is great and the food is delicous. I recomend this place to everyone!
Economicaly Delicious!. Pei Wei offers affordable dishes with the highest quality of meat. I don't like the fact that they removed "Orange Chicken" from their menu, but at least they brought back "Lemon Chicken" which was great. I like the small portions because I have a tendency of eating the entire dish whatever the amount, so this keeps me under control. The difference between Pei Wei and other Asian restaurants is that the food is not oily and buttery neither does it make you wonder if what you're eating is all breading with a tiny piece of chicken in the middle.
The place was clean. Seevice was polite & very quick. I was truly surprised that I could eat here with my gluten allergy. But I had good choices and the food was great. I haven't been able to eat Chinese food for years but now I can! They also have the option to substitute cauliflower for rice, which was a nice surprise.
Went for lunch and it was decent for mid range Chinese food. However my husband had their Pad Thai and was sorely disappointed. I had the drunken noodles as pictured and it was good.
The only place I can eat Chinese food since I’m gluten free and have always had a good experience here! Usually just get take out and it’s quick and yummy!
Our family recently ate at Pei Wei on Bandera Road. The food was delicious and the perfect temperature. Christopher also displayed exceptional customer service by smiling and having a helpful attitude. He pulled the shades down in the store so we could eat without the sun in our eyes. He also offered to get our silverware even though there’s a self serve station. It was our delight to eat in a clean environment with such attentive staff!
The staff is friendly and always strive to make the customers happy. The food is good too.
Can't speak to the food but the service was fast and helpful. I am a Courier and often pickup catering orders. The staff members are kind and always smiling. Makes you feel that you're welcome inside as soon as you open the door!
I love this place!!! So delicious! Superior Customer Service! Clean and you can see the food being cooked. Great servings with a wonderful price. It’s a definite “go to”.

The Beto boxes are awesome. Cutlet loves they have so many options. The edamame is so good here plus the brown rice. Cutlet and Ben were in heaven. This is definetly one of our favorite asian stops.
The one near my house closed down, so I was happy when I came across this one. Very clean place, friendly staff, a good amount of seats, and most importantly, the food was great! Taste and a very good amount of food for the price! Hope to be on this side of town again soon!
