Tasty Breakfast Tacos. Good breakfast tacos that from a restaurant where the clientele of workers from businesses close by who come in for breakfast or quick lunches.
Solid basic tacos here. Nothing fancy, a solid red and green salsa, and good value. Food was fast, tasty and plentiful.
You want decor? Head North where they will charge you for the decor and the view of faux little Mexican villages within. Wow, you can imagine your in Mexico actually eating actual Mexican food.
They have a lot of vegetarian options.
Awesome food for a really good low price. I would say you spend less than $10 per person. It is authentic and fresh Mexican food. Wait time is low to none. Service is fast and food is flavorful!

Great morning surprise to find this small place of worthy tasty food. Good size taco and delicious French toast. Definitely nice to pay reasonable prices considering the area. Yes the building on the outside isn't trendy but the food and service inside is awesome.
First time I went was just to pick up tacos to go and they were great. Decided today to sit and have lunch. Friendly staff. Quick service and the food and tea were excellent. The fideo as a choice instead of rice was delicious. I was sitting solo but still got chips and salsa. I’ll be back.
Great place to have lunch. Not crowded at 2p and the prices are very reasonable. One suggestion: we are going through a water shortage, they need to serve water in 10oz g lol gasses and not serve customers only when they ask for it.
Very small restaurant, about 10 tables max. The waitress was the host, cashier, food runner and busser! And she rocked it. The food came out fast and the service was terrific. Food was pretty good too.

Amazing, authentic San Antonio style Mexican food! Not overpriced & amazing quality of food. Family run & they are the sweetest people. I'm honestly saddened to hear the owner of the building told them they have to be out (selling to make room for more downtown living in sure) without giving them an actual date of when. So any time we could lose this little treasure.

El Nogal has excellent authentic Mexican food. It is a great place for lunch or dinner after a visit to the San Antonio Museum of Art.
