Nothing bad to say at. Tortillas, beans and rice- all solid. Salsa was tasty with a little kick. Chicken enchiladas had great flavor as did the carne guisada taco. Everything was fantastic. So happy to find a good place for Mexican on this side of town. There's lots of great spots to eat, but so much of it is now higher end chains- Kona Grill, Cheesecake Factory, etc. I was ver happy to find this taqueria just outside the La Cantera bubble.
Really great food !!!!! i am just happy after i eat here. This is probably the best mexican food that i have had. And it is so within budget. You should try their dessert empanadas. Its a pity that they close at 3pm.
Good breakfast plates and tortillas. Friendly service. Fairly quick, but they weren't in any rush. Prices decent for NW side of town. Would come back and try lunch.
Good food, wish they open late. Ate here for over 4 years on and off, the food is good, especially the daily specials .
No Longer in Hot Water for the Parking. Still a decent standby if you are in the area and have your taste buds set for tacos, enchiladas, and the like. My puffy beef tacos were on the mark today as were the chicken flautas.
Lunch specials every day of the work week usually have the dining room filled by the time it's straight up noon. Same situation for early and late breakfasts on the weekends.
And for those that know how bad the parking can get, they now allow you to park behind Hills & Dales. The dirt lot across the street is cordoned off. That's probably a good thing as our car bottomed out last time we attempted parking there.

Any Port In A Storm. The Tex-Mex food here is dependable for the most part - there have been a few times that the food was served below appropriate temp or the tortillas and enchiladas were hard around the edges. We used to come here quite a bit for breakfast tacos and for lunch only as they close at 3:00 pm. The interior is fairly rustic on the verge of being divey, wait staff is friendly and there are a lot of regulars patronizing this place that live in the area. So it can get very full at times with parking in the dirt lot across the road.
However, we have found so many better-than-good Tex Mex restaurants around the city that we have not made it back here in quite a while. Also, we continue to venture out to restaurants that we have not tried before just for the gastronomic adventure.
The prices are average as most Tex-Mex offerings go and the food quality and seasoning are usually on par, but nothing special. If you are in the vicinity, nothing wrong with stopping in to satiate your Tex-Mex cravings.
Super great cheap tacos. Get this when you go in next time: potato, egg, bean, bacon, tomato, and cheese taco. It's called the destroyer back in corpus christi and here at Aguas Calientes they do a great job of giving you a big a$$ breakfast taco just the way you order it!

Cheap, decent Mexican food for the northside. Dusty parking lot. Cleanliness is suspect in my opinion. Afraid to know if my suspicions are true. :)
Bright and early. I love waking up early to make it there when the doors open at 6 in the morning. great food all the time. small parking lot is a nice touch to show how much people love this place
Diamond in the Rough. We have lived in the area for a while, but have only visited this place for about two years now. The barbacoa is among the best in town and recently, they started serving tripas which is something you just can't get in North San Antonio. Their hand-made corn tortillas are worth the extra time it takes to make them. Their Migas plate is just what you need to start the morning.
The mexican food is awsome & the staff is great! The only thing bad is It's too small, not enough parking & register is right by the kitchen & it take too long to check out (pay), but.all that is worth it for the FOOD :-)
I've been curious about this restaurant for quite some time. I finally pulled in and enjoyed lunch. Beef enchiladas were scrumptious, and the huge bowl of fideo was tasty as well. The staff were friendly the waitress could have been a bit more attentive. I'll be back to try other items on their menu. I hear their breakfast is good. Prices were reasonable
We love eating at Taqueria Aguascalientes. Everything we've had here has been great. We usually take our food to go but recently got the chance to sit and eat. Service was a bit slow but everyone was friendly and got us exactly what we wanted. I love the feel here. Everything feels authentic.
First time here was nervous about to head this way incase it’s a long wait. It’s wasn’t. You walk in it’s self seating or you can get in line and order. Serve the best chips and salsa. I ordered the menudo and barbacoa taco. will update: it was an absolute delicacy! Will be returning before we head back home. And for many years to come .
Food is very good and well served, big portions so order carefully.
The only not so good thing is the super slow service, appart from that is a very good option for breakfast and lunch.
Very nice establishment, good food...flour tortillas were amazing. Could use warm salsa....but no other suggestions. Would definitely come back.
The Tortilla was very good. It was thicker and was very soft. The filling to the tacos not as good as some others we tried lately. We prefer a intact piece of bacon as you get more taste and crisp out of it rather than cut up pieces of bacon. Overall it was still good though.

We got the burritos and the beef fajita nachos(first time for lunch). The burritos were pretty good size and filling. The nachos didn’t have beef fajitas on them it was almost like beef jerky. It was almost closing time so that may have been why. Love the breakfast here though
my favorite place for breakfast tacos, idk what they do in that kitchen but damn! they’re always delicious and for a good price. always get take out, though, so idk about the atmosphere and such.
My husband had been here before but yesterday was the first time for me. The barbacoa taco was decent but I've had more moist ones before. My husband enjoyed the chilaquiles plate.
Great food with good prices but often waitresses don't seem to care
