Brindles is frequently worth the drive across town-- especially if you are in the market for half-priced-books next door or up for taking in a movie at the theater nearby. I always have trouble deciding whether to get ice cream there or a beer next door at the festive beer garden. The one thing the place could do to improve the atmosphere 35% is to get rid of the old, loud freezer machines that it has. There have to be better, quieter options or some kind of service you can get to make these things pipe down... If not, there is always takeout.

I mean it’s ice cream, but oh it’s awesome ice cream! I like the rotating selection of the menu, as well as the combinations that they had. Will definitely be back.

Been coming to this shop for over 20yrs and in my opinion the ice cream is consistently the best in the world, whenever I leave San Antonio this is the only place I really miss. My favorite flavor is Dreamsicle, but you really can't go wrong with any selection here. Tried a seasonal lavender lemon a few weeks back which was awesome and banana pudding this time which was also delightful.

Love this place. Finally found an ice cream shop in SA that makes their own ice cream in house. Hard to find! They have a ton of flavors and switch them out every now and then. You can get a cup or waffle or cake cone! Yay for cake cones! And there’s no up charge. It’s priced well considering the prices at other places which aren’t worth it for factory made ice cream!
Ice cream and toppings are fresh and it’s a nice environment inside and out. I love going and trying every flavor. My only critique would be someone should be cleaning the tables, trash, etc, place is always messy when I go and out of napkins.

I have been coming here for years. It’s hit and miss but never a total fail! Let me explain. My go-to is always a strawberry milk shake. There’s times we the strawberry flavor is more intense and others when it’s barely there. Sadly, today the strawberry flavor in my strawberry shake was weak. The ice cream is always top notch. The staff is usually kind and helpful. It’s a clean establishment with clean bathrooms. They offer a variety of beverage options. It’s a great place to go on a first date. They have some tables outside. It’s next to a bar (Flying Saucer), so it can be a smidge loud at times.

The ice-cream here is delicious. We tried different ones before deciding which one to get. We got a cone with Burgundy Cherry, and a cone with Maple Walnut and Cookie Butter.
I like that the flavors were very tasty and sweet enough.
I'll definitely will be coming back.
