I love this place for singing karaoke! The lights and disco balls are something else. Makes you feel like the place was formerly a strip club, but a great ambiance if you're into a super fun night out! Best on weeknights when the line to sing is much shorter.
This is on the bucket list for those tour guides looking to show their out-of-town guests a fun and interesting side of St. Louis. It's like walking into the inside of a disco ball sprinkled with strong drinks backed by the sound track of grimy karaoke which finishes off strong with a raging party. The DJ they have now is great on the microphone, real funny and spins tracks with the best of them.
The pizza is surprisingly very good. Easily top five in St Louis. But let's be real, no one comes here for the food.
I typically describe the interior as "making strip clubs look classy," which isn't hyperbole.
Come here on the weekends, preferably no earlier than midnight. Pay $5 cover, then $7 for awfully strong long Island ice teas. Dance and sing and drink until 3 am. Limp to the Courtesy Diner.
Great place for friendly conversation, dancing, and fun karaoke!! Kathy, the bartender, has a fantastically pleasant personality. DJ Sean, is on point with the music. Couldn't feel more safe with their security staff.
visiting from nyc, this bar was on my list of places I wanted to go. yeah it's grimy but it adds to the charm. beautiful cold aesthetic. it's like a strip club meets disco meets the bar from scarface meets the bar from blood simple. amazing people watching. get there early for a more chill vibe before the college kids show up by the bus load around 11:30 and you get dizzy seeing the infinity mirror reflections of wasted white girls in halter tops. great time. wish I could bring this bar back with me.
I had the time of my life singing karaoke here! Everyone was really talented and the drinks were super affordable. I highly recommend everyone trying this place out for a fun night out with friends.
Total STL late night bad decision tradition. Everyone in this town needs to experience Talaynas at least once, preferable hammered... Only after 1 AM though. That's when its packed. Place is weird before then... Fridays and Saturdays only as well.
Went on a random Thursday a little after 8 with some buddies and we practically had the place to ourselves. No more than three other people there at any given time. Karaoke was going and we played a little karaoke roulette. Great place to be if you ever want to work on that diddy you been meaning to try, but dont want to do it in front of a big crowd.
We are here visiting from Oklahoma. Karaoke here is a blast. No food at night, but the diner next door is great. This place is hopping with amazing singers and fun times. Highly recommended.
Very fun place, go early and karoke (or at least go to watch the karoke), they get some REALLY GOOD local talent in there and the DJ is very good. Food/Pizza is excellent, but then it is the original Talayna's Pizza from the old Skinker location (legendary!) It gets really busy after midnight, great place to go after the other bars close down.
Its a 3am bar. People don't show up until after midnight but its always packed. Drinks are reasonably priced and the music is good.
