I take business clients here, because the food is top quality and fresh, and the owner's attentiveness to making the experience is unparalleled. Whether we have grab food and head back to the office, or we want to sit and relax for lunch, this is THE option. The gyros are the best I've found this side of Greece, the fries are plentiful, the sauces are insane, and K, the owner does this thing with ice cream that is unbelievable. Great menu selection driven by several different cultural dishes all with an individual touch, and as noted, the attention to detail for each guest is the type of service you just can't find. Spicy, mild, sweet, robust; they're all here! Kabul Express is a treasure. Give it a try!
This place is great. The food is always amazing and the hospitality is unreal. The owner is great at suggesting good eats and makes you feel at home. I recommend everything on the menu. 5 star place.
I apologize for three things. One my mango lassi did not make it home to be in the photo it was just too good. Two I didn’t care to take good photos I was too excited to eat. Three that I didn’t try this place sooner. When I walked in the man who greeted me was incredibly sweet. Had to leave to cook the food himself and even apologized for a wait that did not take long at all. The food is absolutely incredible. So fresh and flavorful. I will be back a million times and I will be bringing new friends every time.
I stay right around the corner from this place and visited again yesterday to try their spicy gyro. 10/10🤤 The atmosphere is very clean, aesthetic and beautiful. The owner was very polite and nice, took my order, cooked my food and brought it out to me (true hustler). I’ve been here before for the chicken and beef tikka masalas as well as the veggie sombosas which are also a 10/10 with the pita/nan bread. A friend and I ate here for the first time. We ordered the appetizer plate, tzatziki fries, lamb gyro, beef gyro salad, and chicken tikka masala. Everything was made fresh to order, tasted absolutely fantastic, and the service was spectacular! Definitely 5 out of 5!
Very nice and comfortable location in a neat part of the patch. I had butter chicken which was delicious and the appetizer sampler. These are the best grape leaves I've had and the portions are great.
My husband and I took a stay-cation and came to this restaurant after a good friend raved about Kabul Express STL!
I was not disappointed at all! Kauash, the owner, makes all the dishes and his customer service was outstanding! He is such a nice man! Great presentation, great concept , and great execution!
We ordered 3 dishes to share. We got the Falafel wrap, the butter chicken over rice and the Chicken Schwarma over rice. Desert was a pistachio, rose water ice cream in a sugar cone bowl!
The flavors were amazing and dishes, delicious (say that 10 times fast!)
The only thing I don’t like? I don’t live close enough to eat here everyday!!! I would love to see Kauash do a food truck, expand to a west county location, or somehow share with more people. This restaurant is a secret that should not be kept!

This place is wonderful. Clean, friendly and oh so delicious! I just had some of the best samosas I have ever had. The taste and the texture were fantastic. The green dipping sauce was great. Everything tasted clean and the herbs spices melded together perfectly. It surprised me as being the comfort food I needed today. I hope to make this a regular stop in my meals.
The Sugarwitches have landed at Kabul Express STL! This custom 'witch is BE WARNED for mango lovers onlyyy. With its nutty-lovely crust and delicate aroma, the mango lassi 'witch is To Die For. Had it as an appetizer to my all-time fave menu item, the beef kabob wrap. Coriander, cumin feature perfectly in the meat filling. Divine! The house-made cardamom cookies are a must-have, too. Tender, thick, each cookie individually pressed into a flower-shaped mold: never seen anything like it! Finer crumb than trad shortbread, they are cookie magic. Can't wait to return & pair them with a Turkish coffee. I live in walking distance, a blessing/curse lol. Go get you some, NOW! Multiple pics lol of the 'witch's bespoke togs & the ingredient list are all I got left...
If you are wanting something different, yet extraordinary I strongly recommend you give Kabul Express STL a try. Kauash the owner is AMAZING and makes his entrées with his own twist.
Appetizers Eggplant with Pita is one of my absolute favorites and what always brings me back for more. The falafel with tzatziki and hummus with garlic pita is also superb.
Entrées, Butter Chicken, Beef Kabob over rice with jalapeños chutney are mouth watering.
You won't be disappointed with the great customer service, the new location is beautiful, spacious and has enough room to hold family gatherings or parties. Kauash will cater your event with the most amazing, mouth watering, delicious food and desserts.

You walk in the store front and you are consumed by the smell of wonderful food, the owner is super friendly and makes great recommendations if you're unsure of what to get.
We each got an order of samosa, I got a wrap, he got the chicken Tikka, it was only $36! A ton of food for the price. The meals were filling and flavorful, and made a great impression. We will be back for more.
Went for a Monday lunch, always tough to find a new spot open Mondays! I loved the mixed grill bowl, everything was delicious. Great service and delicious food.
