The owner was great, very nice and funny. Really good experience. Quiet and laid back. Very relaxing. The food was also really good. The portions aren't huge, but that's fine because like I said it's good.

Fun experience! The owner was funny and easy to chat with. The menu had a wide selection--we had lamb and goat which were both delicious. Don't be put off by the unassuming appearances, you'll be glad you ate here!

Love this place so much! The nihari dishes are a special treat that taste homemade with love. We are glad to know that Masala will be moving back to their 6800 Olive Blvd location after Jan 1 2020. Recommend!!

Look at that picture of Tikka Masala. I could eat a bowl of that sauce, WOW is it good. I went on a Sunday for lunch and it wasn't very busy. The owner greeted us and gave suggestions on what we should try (we thought there was a buffet on Sunday). His suggestions were great and everything we got we would order again. He is also very friendly and talkative. The portions look a little small at first but they are deceptively filling. Solid choice all around if you're craving some Indian food!

First impression was how bright and clean the restaurant was when we stopped for the lunchtime buffet. It was obviously a very quiet lunchtime, but the food was well presented and fresh, my particular favs were the okra dish and the vegetable pakora, and I liked that they brought us fresh nan to the table for us. Pleasant service, and overall a place I'd certainly recommend, and I'm sure to be back.

Masala's menu offers a taste of everything from the region. The proprietors, Mr. Khan and his son, are extremely friendly and provide an exceptional dining experience. The place settings are uniform on the tables; both are exceptionally clean. Our meals were served in a time frame where you know they were making them fresh, and they were delicious. It was a pleasure to dine at Masala and I will return on my next trip to St. Louis. Recommendation: Chicken Biryani, Samosa, and Naan. Exceptional!

This establishment is very clean. That was the first thing that I noticed upon walking in, the cleanliness. Even the bathrooms were clean, fresh and fully stocked. The staff is friendly and make you feel like family. I’ve saved the best for last - the food! Oh my goodness, the food. I had the samosa as an appetizer, and it was delicious and served with a delicious (somewhat sweet) sauce. I order a goat dish as my main entree. It was served with potatoes. I love it. I told the owner, “I can just drink the sauce!” Seriously, the curry or whatever sauce it’s served with, you may want to drink it like soup. Make sure if you like spice, that you don’t order it “spicy” because “mild” will give you just the kick you need! I can’t wait to visit this place again!

Tried the lunch buffet. I thought the chicken curry was very good... especially as we didn't get there until 2... well after lunch hour. Tandoori chicken was also good. The okra dish was different and the okra was still crisp. The saffron rice pudding was excellent. I wish they'd had a lamb dish. My son also enjoyed it and tried several new dishes and liked them.

We were there for dinner. Fantastic Indian food, friendly relaxed environment, very reasonable prices, great service. Every dish we had was extremely fresh and flavorable. Something I had never tried before in an Indian restaurant was the Tandoori Fish Skewer. It was exceptional! Large chunks of filleted fish with a delicious tandoori crust and succulent moist white fish inside. Yumm! Vegetable Samosa, Bagare Baigan (eggplant), lamb biryani - all great! Excellent friendly fast attentive service with the friendly owner coming by each table to ask if he could provide any additional service. Had a wonderful evening.
