My favorite pub in the Central West End. It has accouterments of a Welsh pub, such as a stone Celtic cross, and lots of wood that gives it a real warm feeling. The food is good, with pub fare plus distinctive menu items (as does their St. Charles location). Bar seating, dining area, small sidewalk area, and a wonderful large back patio with its own bar. Very nice, draws a nice crowd.

Nice large patio out back to get away from the more crowded central west end streetside. Happy hour from 3-6 with a good selection of cheap appetizers. Service wasn't fantastic, but definitely not a deal breaker.

I love their happy hour menu for food and drinks. There are many options to choose from and the $7 burger special on Tuesdays is worth it. As for the server, he was awesome at handling a large group of 15 people. The wait time wasn't too bad. The amount of food you get is quite large and very much worth the price!

We stopped here for a light lunch on a Thursday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a nice selection of draft beer and a full bar. We tried the Welsh Rabit appetizer and if you like bacon and tomatoes with a mild mustard on potato bread, this appetizer really hit the spot! If this review was helpful to you please give it a like.

Service was great! Loved the setting too. My pot roast was so delicious and satisfying. We also ordered tater tots and fried pickles that came with amazing pepper cheese sauce! Mmmm we will be back again

A great, more authentic (I guess) Irish place and menu. They have good quality food. My complaints are that every time I find something that I like, they change the menu and take it off. Keep some of the stuff that I'm sure sells well. And the prices are way high for a Pub.

Man, the food is really good here. You never have to wait for a table and the environment is kid friendly. Our favorites are the wings and the spinach artichoke dip!!! They also have great Irish food like Reubens and fish and chips

We are frequent visitors of this location. Parking in the CWE can be difficult, but there are always spots available along McPherson Ave. This location has 2 entrances - the front door and a side gate to the back patio. Once inside, seat yourself at any table in the bar or dining room. If you're headed to the dining room, I find it helpful to wave to the bartender on the way in, so that a server can be sent your way. There is a good rotating selection of beers, as well as cocktails. The food takes it's cues from traditional Irish dishes, with bangers and mash, corned beef, etc. The Llywelyn's Chicken and Pub Burger are my personal favorites, and the pepper cheese is highly recommended.

In the CWE, it's not a given that every bar/restaurant will have happy hour specials that are worth checking out. Bucking this trend is the perpetually hard-to-spell Llywelyn's, which sports both standard and late-night happy hours, in addition to the daily specials. Now, good prices are only enough for about 2 stars. Where do the other two come from? Quality of food, service, and ambiance. Unique dishes, great service, sidewalk seating, a large patio, and decidedly Welsh decor are solid star-getters, as is the weekly trivia and good live music they have on the weekends.

Had the stew bread bowl. Stew was excellent! The bread, meh. Doughy white 'wonder' type bread. Something heartier would have been nicer. Also, too much bread to stew ratio, which was a shame since the stew was so amazing. They had a unique local whiskey that was very good too. Will be back.
