Louie's Pizza Co.

I found Salvage Yard Bar and Grill through Door Dash. I was very happy to see they had Chicago Style pizza so my fingers went tap tap on the Door Dash! The pizza arrived from my Dasher Nick and I could smell this FANTASTIC aroma as soon as I opened my door. It was the pizza (not my driver he he!) I practically ran to the kitchen to open up the box and dig in! I thought I better take a picture first though for you Google review readers. Mind you the pizza was traveling awhile but I bet the cheese pull on this pizza would be beautiful if I lived closer or was at Salvage Yard eating it. The crust was really good too. It was different and I savored every bite of my pizza! I wish Salvage Yard made a candle with that pizza scent so I could smell it all the time. WOW!!!

If i could give more than 5 stars for service, I would. Our server Davionne absolutely rocked. Best service we have had in a long time. The whole wait staff seemed amazing. Worked well as a team, and i would highly recommend going for dinner. Deep dish was good, and being from Chicago, it was very close to tasting like home. The only recommendation i could give is to add a bit more butter to the crust and roll a tad thinner, and they would nail it! Thank you for giving a transplant a taste of home!

Good food, had the meatball sub and side salad. My dinner companion had the Juice Lucy burger. Both were cooked to perfect. The waitress was perfect, coming over just enough to check on us without feeling like she was overbearing or neglecting us. Overall, it was good food, a fun atmosphere, and perfect service.

This was my first visit to Salvage Yard for carry out. Ordering was easy through Toast. Searching the menu on the website was clear and easy to navigate. The pickup process was pleasant and quick. Ordering on Toast and adding a tip at your discretion makes the pickup process a non eventI. I ordered a mushroom and swiss burger with chips. The burger was ground chuck but not very greasy as some burgers can be. The temperature of the burger was still hot and cooked to a medium to medium well tempeture. The side I chose was homemade chips instead of fries. The number of chips was fantastic and definitely enough to share. They, too, were still hot and not soggy at pickup. The server at the counter was courteous and respectful. I would order again for sure. The only thing I found odd was when ordering on Toast was that when ordering my Mushroom Swiss burger, you still had to add the cheese seperately even though it was a Mushroom Swiss burger. It's not a big deal, just mentioning it here. All food wax ready in 20 minutes Enjoy your visit. I did. I ordered a half house salad with house dressing. for lunch. Dressing fresh and homemade. Salad was delicious, and lettuce was still crisp the next day.

I went here for the first time for my birthday dinner because I had heard such great things about their unique BOB pizza, which stands for “best of both” as it is a mash up of their two pizza styles, Chicago-style deep dish and St. Louis style. I also got a traditional Chicago style to compare. My wife and I both preferred the BOB. Service was fast and friendly and the interior was nice and clean. We liked their steampunk decor.

Small place down on Hampton across from Dairy Queen. Went during happy hour, when they have some of their appetizers for $5. Got mushrooms and mozzarella sticks. The mushrooms were good, but the mozzarella sticks could have been cooked longer. The cheese in the middle wasn't really hot or melted. The pizza was very good, and brought out super hot. Had the St. Louis style, but they also serve Chicago style, too. Sodas are coke products. All in all a good experience.
