La Pizza

Love this place. It's the best pizza I've had since moving away from Connecticut 25 years ago. It's no wonder they sell out some nights. That said, I came here to offer some constructive criticism about their salads. I still do not get why they give you like whole leaves of lettuce rather than cutting the lettuce. Do they expect me to eat my salad with a knife as well as a fork? Do they expect me to fold it origami style so it will fit in my mouth? Would they like to cut the lettuce that goes in their salad, but they simply don't have a knife in the kitchen? Or are they simply trying to discourage customers from ordering their otherwise yummy salads, particularly since the pizza is so good? Some people like salads with their pizza, sue me. I don't quite understand this position on not cutting the lettuce. The homemade salad dressing is actually really good.

The perfect little NY style pizza place here in St. Louis. The pizza is absolutely fantastic. It's about a 40 min drive from our house, so we don't get to come often, but it's a real treat when we get to. The crust is perfected NY style, crisp outside yet soft inside like a French baguette. The sauce just has a freshness to it like nothing else I've had. Same with the mozzarella. It's like someone is next door making up fresh cheese for each day. You can just tell they care about their craft. It's so abundantly clear in the product produced.

Awesome pizza at a small place on Delmar. I was staying about 10 minutes away and didn’t want typical St. Louis style trash pizza so I am glad I found this gem. I will definitely have to go back when in the area. Guy behind the counter was super nice and made sure I had everything that I needed and then some.

My husband and I moved to St Louis from NYC a year ago (after 10 years there for me, his whole life in NY state for him!), and this is the first “New York style” pizza we’ve had here that actually tastes like a NY slice. THANK YOU LA PIZZA! Only complaint is that we wish you had oregano to put on the slices and also Snapple iced tea!

This pizza is so good, it doesn't need toppings or pepper flakes or extra cheese. It's so perfect. This is my favorite spot in town. If you love NY style, I highly recommend checking it out. This satisfies that NYC craving between trips. It's best to call in your order, but do so early bc they do run out if you wait too long to order. They also sell pizza by the slice which is great for a quick lunch. Freaking delicious.

We stopped at La Pizza on a whim while driving home; we we very pleased with the outcome! The Deluxe Meat pizza was delicious and not like the ordinary fare at pizza chains. The Stromboli and cheese calzone were excellent! The price seems a bit higher than other chains but the food quality and uniqueness is worth the cost. We will return!
