Great coffee shop, a little too high brow for the area but everything was top notch. The food, coffee and servers were awesome. Being from Dutchtown/Mt. Pleasant it was nice to have something close that was this nice. 5 Stars

I’ve lived in three cities since St. Louis - and I haven’t found a roaster that can compare. One of the best in the country. I still get beans shipped through the coffee subscription program - you can tell Sump takes a lot of pride in their product and provides great guidance on the best brewing method.

Had the pumpkin sumpkin spice latte. I’ve had better but I like the ambience. The ham and cheese croissant I think was store made. Not sure how fresh it was since she pulled it out the display and warmed it up. It was good though. Nice atmosphere for sure though and the staff were very pleasant

THE best coffee shop in STL. Hands down. From pour overs to a nice latte. You won’t be disappointed in taking a drive down Jefferson to this gem.

Fabulous place! The cortado, the pour-over koji, and the apple gouda scone were perfect. The barista (Dani) was very knowledgeable and helpful. Cute atmosphere too.

What a great shop! This is definitely specialty coffee. They care about the quality of their drinks and coffee beans a lot! It really says a lot walking into a coffee shop and they have a pour steady running constantly for pour overs! I decided to get an espresso from Colombia and it was delicious! Balanced and incredibly enjoyable! I ended up getting a second drink which was a cappuccino. Milk texture was great, very delicious. The atmosphere was remarkable as well. It was a chill and perfect to chat with a friend or take yourself out for a nice coffee haha. The chocolate croissant was also phenomenal. Maybe not an important note but I love their branding haha

***Updating my review from the previous paragraph below. Stopped back at Sump with my fiancé and had a much better experience than the last time. The staff was super kind, helpful, and friendly. The chocolate croissant was incredible and their Matcha latte was really good! The vibes in here were really cool! The coffee was delicious. Even if the coffee absolutely sucked (which it doesn’t), the atmosphere makes up for it. It is in a part of town with beautiful historic houses and feels almost as if you’re walking into a cafe in Paris. My only complaint is that the staff was very unfriendly and that kind of ruined the experience for me. I asked the dude taking my order some questions about the beans I was buying and he just said “it’s up to personal preference” and shut me down about it. He didn’t seem interested in helping answer any questions I had.

A good coffee shop burrowed in the St.Louis neighborhood. I went with a Iced Salted Maple Latte with a blueberry muffin. Both tasted great! The vibe of the shop is very hipster with a slight rocker vibe to it. A very busy coffee shop too! While we were waiting for our order a good 15ish new people came in to place orders. The service was a tad slow but understandable considering the high traffic. Overall a great coffee shop.

This place was amazing, I was visiting for work so I am sad to leave this coffee shop behind! The espresso and crafting of the drinks is very high quality. I recommend the banana stand espresso, it’s a 10/10. Oh and I picked up the cute canvas bag to always remember this place 🖤

Quiet but lively. Interesting place to purchase coffee. Honestly, I love this neighborhood and the old houses around add the experience of this area/place. I was first in line when they opened and suddenly there were 10 ppl that came out of nowhere. It’s truly a favorite among the locals and you can tell. Plan on trying this place again. I got an Ethiopian pour over, that was pretty good. Staff was helpful and friendly. Old building, really cool inside. All around eclectic. Jack goes here at times or he used too. Love the name can’t wait to go back and buy more coffee. Menu is small but awesome.
