Taco & Ice Cream Joint

Went on a whim and was amazed at a place with such an " odd name." Had the Mexican enchiladas, a daily special, and almost ordered a second helping to take home. My wife had the fajita quesadilla, and she couldn't stop begging me to go back. Don't let the name throw you. The food is excellent, the service was on time and exceptionally courteous. Didn't try the ice cream side of the house, but I look forward to that experience on our next visit

I was very happy with every part of this place. The server was super attentive, the food was delicious. It's all very authentic, in my opinion. I love the chips! Best I found in any restaurant around St. Louis Or Saint Charles. I had chili, relleno and tamal. It was delicious. I highly recommend these 2 items. My dining partner had chicken taco and carnitas burrito. I can't speak to the taste but they looked good

This is one of the best taco stops in STL! Unlike a lot of other taco joints, they really give you a loaded taco for the price. Each one has fresh and flavorful ingredients, and did not disappoint. I typically buy 3 when ordering tacos, but you can get by with 2 and still feel full. I highly recommend the El Mojado if you want something big on flavor, and if you want a little spice, go with a flank steak taco. The wait time was less than 5 mins, and the service was great. It’s great for a lunch break or if you wanna go grab some food on your way to Earthbound brewing down the street. Give them a try the next time you’re in the mood for tacos or on Cherokee st.

What’s there not to like about tacos and ice cream?! Pretty vast menu of tacos, bulls your own burrito, different little “snacks” like elote and chocolate dipped bananas. Food was pretty darn good. Made fresh. The flank steak taco was a little bit wet, but one thing I enjoyed was no gristle!! Cancun fries came with some perfectly cooked shrimp. And the ice cream, delicious way to end the meal. They did offer a large variety of margaritas, but we didn’t partake in those

We have a list from Date Ideas and Places to Go In STL, and this was our #1, and it did NOT disappoint, whatsoever. The prices are inexpensive, the food is amazing, and the portions you get for the price you pay, is shocking. My husband ordered their Cubano and ended up with lunch at the restaurant, and lunch for work for two additional days. And the ice cream, was just oh my goodness, AMAZING. We both got their regular Oreo, and it was some of the best ice cream we have ever had.

My experience here was very great😁. All the food is made to order so you know that means hot and fresh. I didn’t have to send anything back. They can become busy but that’s expected from a establishment with good service. The fries that came with the kids meal were very seasoned and I helped my baby eat them🤣I had a strawberry 🍓 margarita and my spouse had a sour apple 🍏. Both where good. They have Saint Louis style soda ( made with pure cane sugar 🤤) They have a lot of flavors of ice cream but I haven’t tried them yet. I ordered then whats pictured but I started eating before I remembered 😅Sorry I wish I took more pictures.
